My house burned down the night before my first senior year football game. I borrowed a pair of too-tight football pants and played anyway.
What I remember most from the fire is the way my community showed up for me after. I do my best to live up to that example every day.

Great to be in Harrisburg on Tuesday talking about expanded protections for first responders during state Emergency Declarations.
Right now, when the Commonwealth deploys non-state firefighters, EMS, or police on a state mission, their workers' comp and death benefits can fall through the cracks. Governor @JoshShapiroPA's budget proposal closes that gap.

A federal judge just blocked Trump and Mackenzie's scheme to strip federal workers of their collective bargaining rights.
It's a disgrace it even had to get to court. All workers deserve a government that defends their rights, not takes them away.
