@LiterateIndy Indy is a lovely city and widely underappreciated. Mass Ave is a particularly fun stretch. The canal/river walk is kind of a hidden gem. A world-class zoo right downtown=amazing, and dinner at St. Elmo alone is worth the trip

"I told a New York reporter that Indianapolis was the most beautiful city in America."
- Sir Arthur Conan Doyle describing his visit to Indianapolis in 1894.

And now I’m here at All Saints Church in Minstead. What a beautiful little church and the final resting place of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, author of Sherlock Holmes.

@Noirchick1 Project Hail Mary last week in 70mm at the Music Box in Chicago. And seeing it again tomorrow night
English

@saniyafatma1278 I'd have probably tipped $40 on that, but I'm a hopeless over-tipper
English

@_maskapital @Sayunan708 💯 Great advice that I came here to give too...almost verbatim. I'd add Candlelite to the list for good tavern-style, but probably a little too far north for most tourists
English

@Sayunan708 If you want good Chicago deep dish, go to Pequods. Idk where your picture is from but I wouldn't give that to a friend visiting Chicago.
If you want real Chicago pizza (thin crust) go to Pat's Pizza, Vito & Nicks, Novel Pizza or Pizzamici.

@saniyafatma1278 while also catching an assault & battery charge...yes, absolutely

@DegenerateTBone this egregious Chicago Tavern-style appropriation cannot stand

Pizza Madness happens, and then this article comes out. Not a coincidence...

@Watchman_motto I played in many a friend's and cousin's basement/rec-room as a kid that looked exactly like this in the late 70s - early 80s
English

@stacycay The ones in their late 70s / early 80s are my parents' generation ... they did it in the 60s and they're not about to stop now!
English

@penkindel Whenever I'm in Pittsburgh, I try to give myself enough time to book a window table at Monterey Bay Fish Grotto ...

English

@Andrewnsnyder I'm in the camp that believes that he's intentionally written as Tolkien's personal avatar in Middle-earth...essentially a literary manifestation of the narrator in the story

I will judge you based on your opinion of this man.

@briangaar Agreed. That was my senior year in high school. Then, in college, The Simpsons was must-watch TV in my dorm. Nearly my entire floor would gather in the lounge/TV room and watch it together every week

"Solid B cities might not have the MoMA, but they are likely to have good museums, a great brewery scene, a functional bike path, and a minor-league stadium. To live in a place you can afford with a municipal government that works, this hardly seems like a consolation prize."
