Nice new paving on South Anne St, Dublin

It has been an exciting two weeks for Limerick fashion and another to come this week with the @LSADatTUS fashion show back after a nine year break. Check out my latest article: My Six Building Blocks for Limerick Fashion linkedin.com/pulse/my-six-b… via @LinkedIn

May 1933, a convoy carrying massive components of a generator slowly made its way through the streets of #Limerick city, passing the well-known landmarks of King John’s Castle, and the Treaty Stone bound for Ardnacrusha Power Station the largest hydroelectric station in the world

The derelict Bishop's Palace with huge holes in the roof, once home to hundreds of pigeons. This is a great example of restoring a derelict historical building. The oldest complete domestic building in Limerick is the 1740 Bishops Palace on Church Street, which is the street I grew up on. In 1986, the late Denis Leonard of Limerick's Civic Trust had to take ownership; otherwise, the council would have demolished it. The first job they did was to replace the roof, and the rest is history. #DerelictIreland #Limerick
