I'd read a study into the economics of Center Parcs. It's significantly cheaper to go to nicer, hotter, resorts in Europe (including flights) and yet they are always full and I don't understand it.
Robert Colvile@rcolvile
You want to talk about surge pricing try booking Center Parcs over the October half term.

@The_Big_Jim @ArbroathFC @GreggS Is it just me or have all references to Pie Bob’s been removed? #piegate

GOG is out. I believe it's personally one of our most authentic and edgy ever.
Everything Grant and I imagined for our sector as likely, 5 years ago, is pretty much here now.
So you need to laugh, or you'd cry.
We laugh.
Are You Not Entertained?@EntertainedAre
open.spotify.com/episode/2UJ2bR… If indeed the "pendulum is swinging back" for so many things in sport, #GOG this week joins in. This is a very honest and jovial episode which comes with various trigger warnings on truth on macro finance geopolitics and sport. Not for the faint hearted.

@cjsnowdon Whilst we’re at it, I propose we reduce the number of days in January.
English

This is a leap year, but why have an extra day in winter when you could have a extra day of summer instead? Please sign my petition to move February 29th to June 31st. There isn’t much time. chng.it/xqxMPGyMMC

@RPMComo Agreed. Recently attended a non-international game for first time in ages - there was more flair, more jeopardy… great entertainment vs the stop-start, “professional” international matches.

The "fucking around" bit would be what's missing from the modern game as a spectacle.

@The_Big_Jim The standard of weather forecasting and travel planning in this league is shocking. It’s 100 times better in English league 2.

@RoyalMailHelp I posted an urgent document via Guaranteed 1pm service on Saturday. Tracking displays “Tuesday 26th - Item due to be delivered today”. Has it arrived yet?

@lukeburgis @perlegobooks Looks like your Matthew Maguire book is available there.

@Realityhrts @kofinas Tend to agree. Cherry picking “facts” to fit a narrative. Quite a change vs the previous episode (Napier, Thompson & Chancellor) which was brilliant.
English

@kofinas Seems like maybe she chose some facts and quotes to fit prior conclusions? Even then getting basic information accurate such as the FY 23 US deficit would be nice. Solely valuing a $ through time vs $ tbill equivalents is also odd. Nice work interviewing though.

What would happen if a new financial world order took hold in which global elites owned everything and you owned nothing?
@caroljsroth joins me on @HiddenForcesPod to explain why this isn't some crazy conspiracy theory and what you can do to fight back.

@markthehibby The argument here is shambolic. LEZ is about air quality and pollution, NOT climate change. There’s a difference. Fine, reduce localised pollution via LEZ. But this could increase overall emissions (increasing climate change) if drivers take non-direct route.
English

@BillNorAngus @NaughtiusMaxi10 @markthehibby @LustraSmallFry You’re right Bill *most* business, but certainly not *all*. What is an acceptable number of small businesses and traders to force under at this time?
English

@NaughtiusMaxi10 @markthehibby @LustraSmallFry Don’t most small businesses buy vans on credit? If you are VAT registered you get deposit back at end of the quarter.
English

@daveg Why do you think that is David? It really is remarkable how little has been produced, then again, if you equate iPhone to the step change brought by radio or tv in their day, perhaps there is nothing comparable and Apple have done well to keep market share.
