the Covenant have supernaturally effective, casual anti-drone/e-war capabilities, and the UNSC have a finite cap on military artificial intelligence usage for valid reasons. It's possible for extensive drone/robot usage to exist, but no major depiction exists.

@TheCountofS Count, in your opinion, why is it that Halo canon refuses to acknowledge the development of drone warfare and robotics in the UNSC? I understand that the setting focuses more on grunts, Spartans, Nvy etc, but why have we ignored the possible UNSC version of a battle droid?

@DoenathanJon @NWBroJaneway @_EmpressCortana 1) Because he's kinda insane from millennia of isolation? And forgot to even ask Chief if he really wanted to fire the ring the first time. 2) Why would the Arbiter not ask? There could be some data that'll lead to the Ark 3) Writing Issue from Bungie obviously

And yeah, if 343GS knew that the Ark WASN'T on Earth then why wouldn't he tell Miranda and Johnson that fact? Like if 343GS turns out to NOT know what the Ark was then there's no reason to have Arbiter ASK where it is. Like 343GS knows what the Ark does, it fires all the Halo rings at once, but that isn't important info to keep him from knowing?

Look, you like Forerunners being Aliens, you’re Anti-Human. I said what I said. There’s something special about reclaiming our heritage vs some ideology made up by The Precursors who murder galaxies for fun. ◯

@DoenathanJon When did I block you? Grace within the Christian context is the divine mercy/chance given for salvation or in Halo's case another shot at life, Chief's actions give the galaxy with all of its horrors and imperfections another chance at life, from the Flood.

I already said it before and I'd make a direct comment but the OP is a faggot who blocked me. Anyway yeah John 117 came from Revelations 1:17. I also fail to see how Chief and what he does is a reference to "grace" and not duty or command. And yeah, the Forerunners battled the Flood... but the Flood is a threat to everyone. In the bible it's clearly told that it was sent by God to cleanse the world to have it remade because of all the sin. Doesn't make any sense to have the eldritch horror named after divine judgement from God if it's supposed to be a "good" thing, does it? And even then that was only a one time thing in the good book, hence God creating a rainbow. Like it's one thing to say it's named AFTER Christian elements in the bible, but to say it's all supposed to be this really subtle work of Christian faith? It's a stretch.

@DoenathanJon @NWBroJaneway John 1:17 "For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ." Master Chief's actions essentially save Mankind I.e. "grace", Forerunners were killed by the flood and there's the Ark (both having identical roles from The Word) and Arbiter is St Paul.

@DoenathanJon @NWBroJaneway @_EmpressCortana They THOUGHT it would be on Earth, and they were confused on why humans were there and yea it was because of storyboard changes. As for monitor, why would the forerunner bother to put monitors on individual ring and not have one for the Ark?

Which is completely contradictory to what he was saying in Halo 2. Based on the actual cutscene, we can infer that the Ark would be on Earth as Truth and Chief arrive there. Not only that but the original storyboards were made so that the Ark WAS on Earth. So they changed it completely when making Halo 3 to pan the game out. And what monitor? Nowhere in the games is it said that the Ark even has a monitor, that wasn't established until later when 343 was in charge.

1. If that's the case then why even make an allegory? It's literally just a reference then. It would mean that outside of the reference it has no meaning. And the Forerunners weren't too slow against it, they had everything planned to index species and reseed the galaxy, they already had the rings MADE they were a last resort. It'd be like if I made a bunch of references to Journey to the West but I told everything in reverse order and changed names and uses around. 2. So the Ark is located "outside the galaxy" then it doesn't make any sense as to how the Gravemind and high charity was able to get to the Ark in time. Let's not even get into the logistics of it fitting through the portal. Nor does it make sense that 343GS wouldn't know anything about the Ark but he is also allowed to know where the ONLY means of getting to it is.

@DoenathanJon @NWBroJaneway @_EmpressCortana 2) The Covenant have FTL Communications which High Charity would've had and infected to use it, or the Gravemind knew through someone he infected. Why would it need to go through the portal when it can probably go there through High Charity's own Slipspace drives.

@NWBroJaneway @_EmpressCortana Jason Jones is not a Christian. Greg Kirkpatrick is not a Christian. Eric Trautmann and Eric Nylund aren't Christians. I don't know about Rob McClees. I know Staten came from a Christian family and Marty turned around well after Halo was done.

@DoenathanJon @NWBroJaneway @_EmpressCortana 3) Even after the Flood, evil perisists, so that's a theological issue, I'm not educated enough to answer that. Same could be said about the flood. 4) They literally believe firing the Rings would allow them to ascend to Godhood, being in range of the ring wasn't a concern.

"How the glood wiped out the Forerunners" Which doesn't make sense because that implies some sort of god created them and sent them to wipe the Forerunners out. And the flood was supposed to be a one time thing. That's what the whole rainbow thing is about in the story of Noah. Also for all we know the Ark was never intended to be some sort of safe haven. If this was the case then Halo 2 had a MASSIVE plothole by having Truth go to Earth but also letting Tartarus try to activate the Halo ring before he got there. He very much likely would've been caught in the blast before they dug up and activated the portal to the Ark.

@DoenathanJon @NWBroJaneway @_EmpressCortana Is it coincidental? Perhaps in the case of the Arbiter yes, but you're ignoring the rest of everything, how the flood wiped out the Forerunners, how the ARK was one of the safe places from where the Forerunners restarted life, Chief's number showing he'd being out the truth.

Yes, you copied that statement from someone else. But let's discuss this for a moment. If Arbiter is St Paul but in space then why would he be called "the Dervish" for most of Halo 2s development? And it's not as though Arby becomes a fierce believer in that humanity are his gods, instead he's betrayed by the Prophets and the Brutes (for some reason) and vows revenge on Truth. So if he was going to be a massive Christian figure then they didn't even bother to name him something even close to Christian symbolism. And yeah, he's a samurai lizard, named after something from islam but this is purely a Christian allegory? Or is this a massive coincidental connection people made?

@DoenathanJon @NWBroJaneway @_EmpressCortana He believes the truth, that humans are the reclaimers and not the Covenant, like Paul did with Christians being Gods chosen instead of Jews. Yea he doesn't worship humans, but he actively tries to foster peace and tries to destroy the lies that the prophets (Pharisees) told.
