Over 20 years ago, my dad was named an honorary member of the Peruvian Surgery Society for his contributions to the Peruvian surgical community. A few days ago, I was deeply honored to receive the same recognition. I wish he were here to see it. Te extraño papá.

Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center
Our oncologists use theranostic treatments to treat hundreds of patients each year with prostate cancer and neuroendocrine tumors. Sylvester is among the few centers in the U.S. with the specialized infrastructure and expertise required to deliver first-in-human investigational radiopharmaceuticals. Through early-phase clinical trials, our researchers are exploring how these therapies could transform care for several common cancers that urgently need better treatment options. The couple that advances scientific discovery together, stays together 🧠💞 Dr. Defne Bayik (@d_bayik) and her husband, Dr. Dionysios Watson (@DionysiosWatson), are teaming up to take on one of the most lethal adult brain tumors: glioblastoma. Their innovative strategy enlists immune and neural cells in the brain and spinal cord to weaken, and ultimately destroy, brain tumors. Read more: loom.ly/EUQfCw4.

Are we measuring progress—or artifacts? In a murine 4T1 flank model, caliper-based tumor growth delay scarcely matched MRI. Imaging-based volumetrics are more reliable and auditable—time to optimize or retire calipers for response. mdpi.com/3542452
