@jhleath @nikshepsvn I think the "working it out" part of coding allows you to go through the mental gymnastics of "does this make sense?" and "what about this edge case?" that's a lot easier than when reviewing. I can see that as a big driver.

i mean, certainly. and it's not to say that there's any anti-AI edict, I think these are decisions that engineers will be continuously making over time. we all expect the models to get better. it's just interesting (to me) that our engineers are more frequently choosing to hand-code things these days

@ggreer I didn't realise you followed me - probably saw my email about @Floobits. I guess you don't use it anymore? Do you use something else instead as it's still the best pair-programming tool I've used. Most are peer to peer meaning only host can run code which sucks 😞

Hey @netflix - how do I turn on Subtitles just for foreign languages? I find I can have them off, or in in English. I don't want them on all the time, just with foreign dialogue that I can understand...

@Withings when are you going to fix your issues with the Scanwatch? So many people complaining about battery life, yet you're support team is providing no updates or timelines for fixes. It's the worst customer support I've seen in a long time 😔

@wtupyo @LegendaryScoop @Withings @ZDNET Yeah, I read that where they said it was Android 14 at fault @wtupyo. But I had the issue on Android 13 and there are iOS users with the same issue, so it doesn't add up.

@IPWright @LegendaryScoop @Withings @ZDNET Withings is working on it with Google to identify the issue… they pushed a notice to app users a week or so ago advising this. I fixed my own issue by removing the app connection from Health Connect.

@AskWithings I'd like to know when you're going to fix the battery drain issues on the ScanWatch. It's been over a month since I contacted support (as have many others in the forums) and we've no updates and no timelines.
