The cow should be granted the status of the ‘‘national animal’’. The majority of the people in the country not only consider the cow sacred, but also accord it the status of a mother. In such a situation, it is difficult to understand what political compulsion is preventing the government from declaring it the ‘‘national animal’’? The politics of hatred, mob lynching, the killing of innocent people in the name of the cow, and the campaign to malign Muslims must now come to an end. We would, in fact, welcome the decision if the cow were declared the ‘‘national animal’’ and a permanent solution to this issue were found, so that no human life is lost and religion is not exploited for political purposes. What is astonishing is that in some states, beef is openly sold, yet there are neither protests against it nor incidents of mob lynching. However, in areas with a significant Muslim population, blood is shed in the name of the cow. This is not devotion; rather, it is a double standard and a political game. Strong propaganda is being carried out in favor of a Uniform Civil Code on the argument that if the nation is one, then the law should also be one. Yet, the laws regarding animal slaughter are not implemented uniformly across all states of the country. There are many states where beef is openly consumed and no ban exists there. A Union Minister himself admitted in an interview that he eats beef. What is even more surprising is that the Bharatiya Janata Party is in power in many of those states. Even more astonishing is the silence of those who incite mob lynching across the country in the name of the cow and even take human lives. We only want that the cow be granted the status of the ‘‘national animal’’ so that this controversy may be brought to an end forever. Whatever law is enacted for this purpose should be implemented uniformly across all states of the country without discrimination. NOTA से भी कम वोट मिले, जमानत भी जब्त हुई. कॉकरोच जनता पार्टी की एक रैली यूपी के सलेमपुर या किसी भी कस्बे या जिले में करा लीजिए, 50 लोग भी आ जाएं तो बड़ी बात है. सोशल मीडिया और जमीनी हकीकत में बहुत फर्क है. देश इंस्टाग्राम के फॉलोअर्स से चलता तो विराट कोहली-श्रद्धा कपूर राष्ट्रपति और प्रधानमंत्री होते. इस बात को नकारा नहीं जा सकता है कि लोग BJP से परेशान हैं, मोदी से चिढ़ है लोगों को. वो नाराजगी तमाम विपक्षी नेताओं के वीडियो के लाइक और शेयर में दिखती भी है. विपक्षी नेताओं के बयान, मोदी के बोरिंग बयान से ज्यादा चलते हैं. कोई भी कंटेंट जो सरकार की फालतूगिरी को उजागर करता है, वो सरकार की तारीफ करने वाले वीडियो से ज्यादा चलता है. ये ट्रेंड तो पहले से है... लेकिन इससे कुछ हासिल नहीं हो रहा. इसलिए हासिल नहीं हो रहा कि लड़ाई निष्पक्ष नहीं है. फिर कहता हूं जब तक EVM है, BJP का कुछ नहीं बिगड़ेगा. बाकी कॉकरोच जनता पार्टी को लाइक शेयर करते रहें, मज़े लेते रहें... जमीन पर कुछ ठोस नहीं होने वाला.

I watched a discussion on an Indian news channel about @HelleLyngSvends asking questions to the PM. Apparently, protocol was not followed, the Indian press is very free and not giving interviews is a “personal choice” according to some talking heads. One also said it doesn’t matter if the PM gives or doesn’t give interviews because he’s won multiple elections. There was no discussion on how journalists are facing cases or being deplatformed for their stories, online threats towards journalists were not even raised by the journalist conducting the debate. There was no acknowledgement of how misinformation sans fact-checking is passed off as news in an attempt to amplify governmental narratives. I swear, savarna Indians need to get their heads out of those buckets of sand they’ve buried their heads in.
