@IjazTheTrini You are passively aggressively demanding something from people who are being wise and patient, and using it as ammunition ideologically. The social contract of decency was broken by you. You reap what you sew, I'm just not dishonest like you.

It's funny how no Christian apologists are publicly denouncing this as blasphemous. Please tell me they are.

@cakesauce Had this same exact argument. They felt tt more specialised knowledge w/o an ustaz ( i was doing academic readings on islam) would confuse me. Recitation was more str8-forward and thus preferred. I also felt tt they did not want me to use my newfound knowledge to argue w them.

@rahmandeprof Thank you for bringing up the book of books. People recommend too many different books or Sheikhs which lead to more division of the ummah. The time for the Quran to be our only rule of law and life is now. الحمدلله عل نعمة الإسلام

Please study the Qur'ān. I beg you, don't just listen to the sweet voices or just read in Arabic. Study it in your preferred language and make sure to think over it. Muslims are thinkers. Muslims are ponderers. Muslims are readers. Pleased read. Read Islamic contents. Read Islamic History. Read Islamic legislations. Please read, as a Muslim. There's so much abundance of knowledge, nuance and guidance in this deen that will never be exhausted. And the fun fact is that all of them are derived from the Qur'ān. All with basis and rulings. This is why scholars derive immense depths and benefits from verses you would randomly skim past on a windy Tuesday evening. Please, read the Qur’ān. Please. May Allah grant you steadfastness upon haqq.

@AbdulGhaniyrich @Assimalhakeem Tell them: "I honor you because Allah commanded it, and I refuse to squat because the Prophet (ﷺ) forbade bowing to men (Ibn Majah 1858). My refusal is out of obedience to the Creator, not disrespect to you." Over-compensate by being the most helpful and kindest in the house.

@AbdulGhaniyrich @Assimalhakeem Stay firm, brother. Adhering to the Sunnah while facing isolation is a test that carries great reward. Remind them gently: kindness to parents is a command from Allah, but the method of greeting must not mimic acts of worship (like bowing/prostrating), which are for Allah alone.

Ask them to show you a verse from the Quran or a hadeeth stating that this is part of Islam!
Abdul-Ghaniy@AbdulGhaniyrich

@Assimalhakeem AssalamuAlaikum warahmatullah Ustadh, please, all my family are Sufis with extreme respect to greeting the elders while squatting. When I said Islam don’t permit such an act they demand of a verse and Hadith. Please Ustadh help me explain.

@AbdullahIbnal @ShaykhIshraq On the authority of Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him), the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Part of the perfection of one’s Islam is his leaving that which does not concern him." (Recorded in Tirmidhi and Ibn Majah)

Weeks after the release of the Epstein files explicitly naming presidents & government officials, not a single large-scale protest has been witnessed in America, not even ONE! Never again do we want to hear Americans lecture anyone about women’s rights, freedom, or human values.

Syria is paving the way for a return to the status quo pre the rise of the Najdi Salafi movement in the Hijaz For the first time, Salafis in a major country like Syria have collectively let go of one of the biggest tenets of Najdi Salafi dogma: declaring Ash'aris deviants Sh. Abd al-Rahim Attun Dr. Ibrahim Shasho Dr. Yasin Allush Dr. Madhar al-Ways Dr. Anas Ayrut Dr. Abdullah al-Muhaysini Sh. Hasan Sufan Also stated by President Ahmad al-Sharaa (who is the mastermind behind it, which was easy to foresee from his first week in Damascus) These are the biggest Salafi names in Syria, not outliers, and many others are in agreement with them. All of them explicitly stated that Ahl al-Sunnah are 3 groups: Ash'aris, Maturidis, Ahl al-Hadith What does this mean in practice? It means 99% of reasons for a Salafi-Ash'ari divide are gone. No more disputes over Fiqh issues like Mawlid and Tawassul (and definitely no Takfir). No more (major) disputes over creedal differences. The differences in opinion may remain, but by conceding that Ash'ari views are not deviance, they would fall under valid Khilaf, and thus no dispute is necessary - which has always been our goal Pre the revivalist reformist Najdi Salafi movement, this was the case for generations All major Hanbalis after the 6th century lived between Syria, Palestine, and Egypt, which were Ash'ari strongholds. They lived under the Ash'ari Ayyubids, Mamluks, and Ottomans, singing praises for their Sultans. They diligently studied under the Ash'ari scholars of their age, seeking knowledge and Ijazahs from them. And they used to gladly marry their daughters off to Ash'ari scholars Anyone who reads the history of those centuries will come to realize that the early harsh Ash'ari-Hanbali differences turned out to be exaggerations and misunderstandings. And when they were calmly discussed, both parties realized that they had misunderstood the other, leading to the harmony we saw for centuries Syria is not only a breakthrough politically, but also religiously, mending a tear in the Ummah that has lingered for far too long. Our hope now is that Salafi groups in other countries follow Syria's example and rethink their view on this issue It is inconceivable for a large chunk of the Ummah of the Prophet ﷺ, reaching 80% in the most modest estimate, be deviants. Just think about it

@theonecid That phone is locked. When someone phones your locked phone and there's an option to answer or decline, which one do you suppose your butt will choose first? The slider fixes that problem. And the power button declines the call. These two features were added 16 years ago!

The top critical replies to Coder Girl here were "4 hours fixing audio drivers nobody asked about", "Installing Linux is a mess", and "sure if you don't like to game". I have been a Linux user since SlackWare in the mid 90s. I would have agreed with all three of those up until around a year ago. Here is the reality I have been experiencing now: 1) My livingroom gaming machine is now permanently Bazzite. I installed the default Bazzite distribution from a USB key with no modifications. It can run Steam in deck mode, so I can use it with my (Microsoft!) XBox controller, and I play almost exclusively Windows games on it, which run (shockingly) flawlessly in Proton. I have yet to encounter a single compatibility problem, although I am sure I would if I played competitive shooters since their anticheat kernel drivers are designed to prevent using it anywhere but on unaltered Windows distributions. Anticheat is really the only thing holding Linux back from being an immediate substitute for a Windows gaming machine. 2) My audio workstation is now also Bazzite, since I figured it was easier than maintaining two distros. Default install just worked, no drivers necessary, despite the equivalent Windows install needing both Yamaha and Behringer drivers to be installed manually to function properly. It "just worked" out of the box for audio as compared to the Windows equivalent, and has been rock solid - no drop outs, no crashes. I did not have to touch a single audio configuration option. I just installed Reaper and PianoTeq, and everything worked. 3) The only machine I've found so far that has trouble working out-of-the-box with Linux is a Microsoft Surface tablet. But I still got it to work, it just required me to manually install a kernel patch because support for things like the Surface touchscreen aren't built into Linux distros currently. Once I did install the patch manually, it works perfectly, and even has a touchscreen keyboard just like Windows does. So even Microsoft's own hardware can run Linux just fine, and it would even be turnkey if your Linux distro of choice decided to mainline the Surface driver repo. The bottom line is that people who think Linux is worse than Windows either haven't used it lately, or are not being honest about how bad Windows has become. Windows is circling the drain. Every update, it gets worse. The number of problems I regularly have to solve on our remaining Windows machines dwarf anything I have to do for Linux system maintenance. Windows had a good run, but Microsoft has obviously focused its resources on SaaS and cloud computing. They don't care about Windows anymore, and neither should you. The next decade is about transitioning to Linux everywhere.
