Of everything I have accomplished on my health journey, through exercise, weight loss, supplement-maxxing, diet, and lifestyle, the most significant change to my entire being has been reducing my time on this website.
A year and a half ago, even a year ago, I'd have 12-hour average screen time days. I'm not kidding. 12 hours. My mind absolutely obliterated by Twitter. Group chats, cryptocurrency telegram channels, the timeline. Looking at photos of myself from this time, I was not only visibly unhealthier, but there was a lifelessness in my eyes. A complete apathy, a despondence of spirit. I was addicted to the "life" I made here.
There were some positive situations and connections that were born from my addiction to Twitter, I won't pretend like it bore no fruit at all. But the completely negative effect it had on my bodily health, my mindset, and my entire world is undeniable.
Now, my average daily screentime is maybe 2 hours. The life in my eyes are back. I have energy again. I'm happy. I have purpose, real connection, health. I'm not "finding myself" because the Self is already a false perception, but when you add an internet persona on top of the already False Self, you have double the mess to untangle to find your way back to Truth, to essence, to being.
I know you don't want to hear this. But in order to save yourself, you have to fucking log off for the most part.
I still dip my toes in, because it's fun. But you absolutely cannot lose yourself here.

Yesterday I was going to make a video of myself washing the Land Cruiser at a manual car wash in heels and my cute outfit but there was a long line of cars behind me and it would have been really embarrassing
