⚠️🚨Increased Water Release from Almatti Dam 🚨⚠️ In view of the statutory operational requirements of Narayanapur Dam up to November 2026, the discharge from Almatti Dam will be increased to 15,000 cusecs from 2:00 PM today for release into the downstream stretch of the Krishna River.

#Karnataka #Monsoon Rain has graced Koppal for the fourth consecutive day! 🌧️ I honestly can’t remember the last time we witnessed four straight days of rainfall here. It poured heavily for about 20–30 minutes today. After years of erratic monsoons, moments like these truly feel special. Hope these dark rain clouds linger over Koppal for another week, bringing more steady showers and much-needed relief to the land. 🌧️

🌧️ Parts of Ballari and Vijayanagara districts are witnessing good rainfall. ❤️🙏 After a long dry spell, ಮಳೆರಾಯ has finally returned to our region! 🌧️💚

Madhya Pradesh Police on Sunday cleared the tribal protest site against the Ken-Betwa river link project in Chhatarpur and shifted protest leader Amit Bhatnagar, who had been on a 14-day hunger strike, to a hospital. Authorities said the action was taken due to rising river levels after heavy rainfall. 📹: by special arrangement ✍️: @MehulMalpani thehindu.com/news/national/…

@IamMGoudar Hello Sir, Can we expect more rains in the krishna basin and any chance of 100 tmcs of water generated from these fresh rains...???

@IamMGoudar Sir, when Srisailam dam can receive inflows.

#Karnataka #Monsoon Almatti Reservoir (Krishna River), 19 July 2026, 8:00 AM Inflow: 40,559 cusecs Outflow: 8,233 cusecs (including 5,250 cusecs released to the Krishna River) Current Storage: 92.593 TMC Maximum Storage: 123.081 TMC Following a fresh spell of rainfall across the Western Ghats and the Krishna River catchment, inflows into the Almatti Reservoir have surged by nearly 35,000 cusecs over the past 12 hours. Consequently, the discharge to the Krishna River has been increased to 5,250 cusecs from 2,500 cusecs released yesterday, and is expected to be stepped up further later in the day if inflows continue to rise. The renewed monsoon activity has brought fresh optimism for farmers in the Krishna basin, raising hopes of adequate water availability for Rabi irrigation in at least four districts.
