So taxpayers fund farmers, subsidize them, and waive their loans for generations! Over 80 crore people are already being fed for free, along with schemes like Ladli Maa and Behen Yojnas, farmers don't pay tax too, even the rich ones! How does a country survive, and where does it all end? Everyone takes risks, and while they should be supported with technical knowledge etc., it’s starting to feel like a trap!

The farmer who grows food for the country with no fixed income doesn’t need tax lessons from someone whose salary gets credited on the same date every month. A farmer puts in money, works for months, and still has no guarantee of earning even one rupee. Rain fails, crops get damaged, prices crash, everything can be lost. And more than 85% of farmers in India are small farmers with limited and uncertain income. Taxing them would hurt lakhs of ordinary families and bring very little tax. If any rich person is misusing the agriculture tax exemption, action should be taken. But blaming every farmer for that is simply unfair.
