So dr martens are crap now! So what’s the wearable long lasting leather boots now? I had a wee pair of Bally boots (second hand) and adored them!

@PhilMyers53 @RachelReevesMP When @RachelReevesMP gives her budget remember SIR Kier Stammer is as much a part of them establishment as it is possible to be. He doesn't represent the hard working people of the UK. He is an undercover Tory and you fell for it!

When @RachelReevesMP stands up to anounce her budget, REMEMBER why we are in this mess! The Tories! Lost £58B to fraud. £37B track + trace. PPE FRAUD! £22B BLACK HOLE. The 3 C's corruption, cronyism the c*nts! We MUST stick with Labour

@clairebubblepop It's not that she wouldn't do it, she knew it would cost too many votes Same as with NHS privatisation, she could only get away with a little - it took Blair to expand it She said Blair was her greatest achievement as a result Stalmer is same, but for one term at this rate

Someone said Thatcher wouldn’t take the winter fuel allowance away. Sure about that? Didn’t she take milk from kids in poverty, sell off loads of council house stock (without rebuilding), sold off BP (look where that got us)? I could go on. But no Thatcher wouldn’t do it… oh do fuck off.

@benjaminbutter The issue is the 180 degree U-turn on Labours election commitment to keep it as a universal benefit, a commitment even the Tories made It not only makes Stalmer untrustworthy, it makes him worse than a Tory Universality could have been maintained by simple income tax changes

Labour is right to cut winter bonuses from some pensioners. Its mistake is not making the argument for why. The fact we hand out £300 to millions of financially comfortable adults based only on age, while others pay sky high taxes, is economically unsustainable and unjustifiable.

@Silvia19865 Irrespective of who is to blame, out torying the Tories on austerity is not the solution - the Tories already proved that it doesn't work.

I think this is a bit unfair. People were fed LIES and they voted on those LIES. For example the fucking red bus which stated we’d get £350m wk for our NHS and Tories knew people wanted more money for the NHS. You see what I’m saying?

@splootman There are many different solutions to every problem. What we can see is that Labour are choosing the most extreme Tory solution to every problem. That we can judge them on!

Starmer is basically 'British Zelensky', isn't he? A bloke so far out of his depth in his particular current role, wandering around from place to place in a daze, that he'll just accept the trappings in return for doing whatever he's told to do by more powerful people.

@iammockatory We already efficively pay a per mile road tax, it's called fuel duty, and the UKs fuel duty is one of the highest in the world, despite being an oil rich nation. We are being fleeced yet again Labour claimed to be the party for change New boss, same as the old boss

@Elemjay1 @EmmaBurnell_ They're coming for the attention...don't give it to them Any counter protest is going to get a share of the blame for whatever happens, even if they are in no way responsible AUOBs call for a counter protest means the MSM will jump at any chance to blame Indy supporters

Was going to go to the anti-fascist demonstration in Walthamstow but a worried call from my lovely teenage nephew has convinced me not to. My parents wanted to be there too. A worried call from me convinced them not to. Disappointed not to be able to show our solidarity.

@AUOBNOW I think this is a major misjudgement & damaging for AUOB From what I am seeing the vast majority of the indy movement have the common sense to stay away and leave these rioting idiots alone to embarrass themselves & take all the blame for any violence/looting

@MrMalky @AUOBNOW I agree The more you ignore them the less relevant they become Also let them and them alone take all the blame for any riots and looting Any counter protestors will be blamed for stirring up tensions and maybe even worse

@ruth_wishart Easy, same way as you would do it for a Universal Basic Income. You simply lower the tax bands of the better off by the amount of any universal payment, or in this case winter fuel benefit, to cancel it out and recover it automatically through the tax system.

I really do know the winter fuel payment matters to thousands, especially in chilly Scotland. I should have made it clearer that well off pensioners shouldn't get it, though I don't know how you fix that without means testing.

💥BREAKING💥 I can now reveal that from what I’m led to believe at lease 3 pro-independence parties are directly ''in discussion'' about a pro-Indy majority @ Holyrood 2026, and that a few prominent pro-Indy groups are happy to campaign side by side. More to follow….

@LesleyRiddoch @stephenflynn The universal credit system was set up to create a hostile environment for the poor and vulnerable in our society To mimic the immigration policy and create fear among those caught up in it's grip It should be scrapped and replaced with universal basic income #UBI

I heard no no specific mention of reforming universal credit (and thus mitigating the revolting two child cap Starmer won't actually abolish) in the King's Speech. Too feart to mention? Too unimportant? Amendment on two-child cap coming fm @stephenflynn in KS debate next.

@PeteWishart You will continue to lose votes if you insist on delusional thinking like this. The fact is that the SNP have lost the confidence of the Independence movement. You need a new fresh leadership who will restore democracy within the party and focus on delivering independence asap

Yes. Let's have a second referendum on whether to abolish the Scottish Parliament following the failure of successive Holyrood administration.
Boomtown64@boomtown64

@LHolt99 @theSNP @ScotTories So surely if the Independence movement is dead. This would be the time to give Scotland a second referendum.

@Erudite4Unity @dundeediamond @LesleyRiddoch Lesley is nothing but a careerist who jumped on the indy bandwagon to promote herself But the media still use her to claim balanced representation of the indy movement because they know she's not going to say anything too dangerous The indy movement see her for what she is.

We just heard @LesleyRiddoch on GMS. She was asked if independence supporters want a 2nd referendum. She rambled uninterrupted for several minutes, talked up Finland before bemoaning the involvement of private finance in Scotland's NHS. Thanks for the clarification, Lesley.

@david_lemon67 @Browno02 @andrewgmorton What needs to happen re Alex Salmond is for the whole truth to come out about his trial & the SNP are the ones that need to whistleblow on the people within their own ranks who tried to pervert the course of justice and commit perjury Only then we would know they had changed

Here’s some free advice for the SNP: Drop the gender nonsense and cut yourself away from the Greens. Lose Swinney and the rest of the devolutionists. Start campaigning honestly and constructively for independence and for God’s sake reconcile with Alex Salmond.
