@PolestarCars Any news / updates why delivery estimates for the Polestar 3 have now been pushed back to September? 😢

@chrisbanes My best one is super simple... I change the function of my lounge main light switch depending on the time of the day. During daytime, it just turns on/off the main light at 100%. After 5pm, it comes on at 35% but the lamps in the room also come on (and off). Easy mood lighting

I’ve entered the rabbit hole of creating my own Home Assistant automations. My first one was simple ‘person at home’ tracking to turn on/off the heating. Soon to be expanded to disable my lighting automations too. What are some nifty automations you’re using?

@British_Airways And Qatar do *not* help with support requests for "BA Flights or BA bookings". Why sell tickets you can't support? What do I tell my family why we can't recover our holiday? I'm only asking for an email which says we didn't fly. Not a refund, nothing of value to BA. 😓

@IanDBird We can't provide you with records that we do not have access to, Ian and it is not information Qatar Airways will share with us. Anthony

@British_Airways I'm really struggling to get help with a simple request of a no fly letter... My kid was hospitalised the morning of our flight, and we missed what was meant to be a very special holiday. I've filled out forms, called customer care, contacted complaints, but...

@British_Airways But Qatar have stated they can't help me. I paid *you* so it's your responsibility. It's a BA booking, on a flight with a BA flight number, and BA took my money. It should be BA that help me resolve this issue

@IanDBird Hi Ian, I can understand why this is so frustrating. If the flights were operated by Qatar Airways, as the operating carrier, they would issue the letter. This is because they will hold the flight record. They do not pass this information to us. Anthony

@British_Airways Thanks, and I've tried, twice. Both times, I've been told "Contact Qatar" even though I've said Qatar won't help me (since it's a BA booking with a flight with a BA code). I even raised a complaint detailing all of this, and was told to use that same form (again). 😭

nothing. I booked via BA, it had a BA flight number, but was a Qatar flight. Qatar will not help, since I paid via BA. Every response from BA is "talk to Qatar". Why is it impossible to get a simple no fly letter?!??! We're at risk of losing our holiday because of this!!!

@chrisbanes Pretty sure TestFlight works well if you're distributing to small teams. We used to have a nightly alpha build go out to the dev team

What’s the best way to distribute iOS apps for internal use? TestFlight requires an AppStore review AFAIK, so that isn’t useful for frequent dev builds (but will be for public betas). Firebase App Distribution came up and seems to work for this. Anything else?

Incredibly sad to hear that a lot of my old friends and colleagues have been let go. These are some of the most talented individuals out there. Let me know if you're hiring and want any referrals. theverge.com/2023/6/28/2377…

I asked my kid today if there's anything I could be doing to be a better father... He said I could cook more pizza. Sounds like I've been slipping recently. 🍕

@blundell_apps @ottomate @myenergiuk @OctopusEnergy Yeah, so Octopus Outgoing Fixed would get you 15p / kWh. I guess since it's not currently compatible with an EV tariff, you have to work out which is more important. Buying cheap electricity or getting the best price for your excess. Probably buying cheaper given I'm in Scotland

With the new @myenergiuk #libbi hybrid inverter & battery🔋⁣we can store electricity produced by our solar system during the day & use it in the evening. In the dark months we can use libbi to buy energy on the cheaper night rate, saving on the daytime tariff. #AutomatedHome
