@StevenTBoers63 Very productive but (for me) it feels more like work. I am much more relaxed when I write in the evenings and feel more inspired to wax creatively.

Writing thought: What do you think of early morning writing, right when you wake up. I've heard it's productive, but haven't tried it

I feel like a Luddite sometimes. I'm watching a vlogger use a selfie stick that is automatically digitally removed from his video, but I swear I wouldn't be able to tell the difference if he were walking around holding onto the leash of an invisible dog.

Books. Books are here. Lots of books... I'll have a table at the Stittsville Book Fair in a couple of weeks, with a bunch of author copies fresh off the press--including my new novel, Kings of Kramwen.

@SDDonovan Any post I make garners a dozen views a day. A couple dozen after 48 hours--about 1% of what you've gotten on this one in 12 hours. If I wanted to talk to myself, I'd be better off writing in a diary.

I've been unfollowing inactive accounts and it made me sad. SO many authors who left X. Many posting daily, with never a single like. It's sad, man. Driven away by the algorithm. 🥺

I just want to say one thing to all the authors out there: I genuinely wish you incredible success. There are so many people on here creating beautiful things. Before joining X a little over a week ago, I had no idea how big the indie author community was, or even how strong and alive it is. I was pretty ignorant to that. Since signing up, though, I’ve connected with so many great people. There’s something powerful about being surrounded by people chasing the same dream. Much love to all of you.

@TAR_Kirk I respect them and move on. Absolutely though, I am sure a perceived exclusivity can work to doubke down on attracting the readers they want to target .

@IanRRoss Do you ever wonder how much of that is marketing versus the author genuinely knowing who they’re writing for? Or do you just take it at face value and move on?
