We see more and more lateral dural tear #CSFleaks with small epidural fluid missed because the correct MRI sequences were not obtained. 3DT2FS really shines in this context. Sometimes the 🔑 isn't new technology, but re-understanding how to look at existing data.

What is the diagnostic yield of MRI in adult emergency patients with dizziness or vertigo? While MRI is efficient for detecting central causes of dizziness, its yield is low in cases of isolated dizziness without neurological signs. 👇 link.springer.com/article/10.100…

⭐️ The carotid body can be normally seen on CTA of the neck as an ovoid avidly enhancing focus at the inferomedial aspect of the carotid bifurcation 💡 Normal range is ~1-4mm, do not mistake this for pathology (dissection, web, pseudoaneurysm, etc.) 💡 When >6 mm, a small carotid paraganglioma should be suspected and further evaluated #Neurology #radres #futureradres #medicine #Neurosurgery #MRI #FOAMed @TheASNR

China's Bytedance just dropped the most advanced video generation model in the world. Seedance 2.0 has: — native audio gen (lipsynced speech + music) — drastic step up from Veo 3.1 / Sora 2 in quality — supports multimodal input — 2k resolution Goes beyond cinematic video, and can do product demos as well. And it's really hard to tell it's AI.

Our @TheJNS paper is out: In perimesencephalic SAH, high-res CBCT frequently identifies a basilar perforator pseudoaneurysm supporting an arterial etiology until proven otherwise. Conservative management was associated with excellent outcomes. shorturl.at/qXet7

CTA is over-utilized & under-utilized in many EDs. Can miss high-risk lesions in high-risk clinical events without it. But there is a cost to it when not indicated: extra radiation, potential contrast allergy, negative impact on ED/radiology workflow, resource intensive etc

Multinodular & vacuolating neuronal tumor (MVNT) is a rare, benign entity often found incidentally, w/ characteristic MR findings: Subcortical, FLAIR-hyperintense, nonenhancing nodules. In our cohort, most did well w/ conservative management. @JordinaRT_md doi.org/10.1007/s11060…

Findings from this multiinstitutional study of malignancy in incidental, indeterminate adrenal nodules on contrast-enhanced CT in patients without known cancer provide crucial data to inform management guidelines and reduce unnecessary follow-up. ajronline.org/doi/10.2214/AJ…
