@TeslaTim2 @OutofSpecDetail I use the ultra foam flavor. Been really happy with Adam’s Polishes products. Their expensive drying towels, amazing.

@XboxGamePass 4 different gamepass accounts said it was releasing on the 18th. The 18th comes and “jk 12:01am on the 19th”. Lame

@SawyerMerritt My 2024 Tesla registration is over $800 in California, more than my 3/4 ton diesel was. This **** state is also trying to tax EV considerably more on top of that. Now the feds doing it too. There’s not going to be too much savings anymore.

U.S. House lawmakers have proposed bipartisan legislation that would require electric vehicles to pay a $130 fee to pay for road repairs annually and $35 for some plug-in hybrid models.
The House is working on a five-year highway reauthorization bill expected to cost more than $500 billion ahead of the current law expiration on Sept 30, 2026. Most revenue for federally funded road repairs is collected through diesel and gasoline taxes, which EVs do not pay.
I think $130 is fair since over time there will be fewer gas vehicles on the road generating tax revenue, They'll need to make up the difference somewhere so they can keep repairing roads, etc.

@AaronJRolen Another note, none of my commutes are flat. There’s a lot of drastic elevation changes.
English

@AaronJRolen How many miles? I can make a two hour drive, work a 14 hour shift with sentry being activated throughout it, then a three hour drive (thanks traffic) in my model y which gets less range than the $80k cybertruck. All with FSD. 212 miles driving and sentry+ drain. 2% arrival SOC.
English

I test drove a cybertruck for the first time last week. Amazing machine. Was really tempted. Still am. The range is basically a deal breaker.
I live 2-2.5 hrs from Dallas. I want to drive there and back comfortably. My Silverado EV is inferior in every way—but gets 450 miles.

We need a 400 mile range Cybertruck still please
English

@AaronJRolen But Cybertruck does need more range. I don’t want to navigate Los Angeles with a trailer and attempt to disconnect it somewhere in Los Angeles to charge to make it to Oceanside. That’d be a nightmare if even possible. Also work related and it won’t make it towing without charging

@Jones1 My wife uses it here and there on her HW3 and on my HW4…she can’t sit back and let it do its thing. She likes it enough but I don’t think it’s a deciding factor for her. It’s a big factor for me but my commutes are ridiculous. If I got a non Tesla I’d keep a Tesla to commute in.
English

@IcedAssault FSD has finally become a factor for my wife. She uses it now on HW3.
English

@TesCalendar1 80% soc wouldn’t cut it with my commutes. Saw a bunch of these working in Oceanside, they’re awesome looking in person though.

Most of the time with I post about the VW ID BUZZ I get 20 comments about how it needs more range. I get it, we always want more. I’m an advocate for big batteries!
But where’s something to consider. The old VW bus had a range of around 180 miles and was used for so many things including hippies traveling and living in.
The new BUZZ has a 230 mile range. When I mentioned how the 2027 will have a camper version, many commented how it NEEDS more range.
Something to consider 🤔
