GTCO paid me dividend today and I already used part of it to enjoy small life is short. But the rest? Going right back into the market tomorrow. Buying more shares. Because those new shares will also pay me their own dividend. And when that dividend comes, I’ll use it to buy even more shares. More shares means bigger dividends. Bigger dividends means more shares. That’s compounding. Your money making money that makes more money. So wbu? What are you doing with your own dividend this season?

What is the difference between a qualification date and a payment date? The qualification date is the deadline to own a stock and be eligible for a dividend. The payment date is when the cash actually hits your account. Many investors buy after the qualification date and wonder why they received nothing. Don't be that investor.

A lot of married people need to be sexually educated to be responsible parents. Proper child spacing is not about having the finances, it is about infant and maternal health. Medically, there should be no sex before 6weeks postpartum check up during which they sensitise and propose family planning to you if you are ok to start having sex. Should you not want to take medication or do insertion, withdrawal method is there. You cannot be allergic to Condom and Common sense st thesame time now.

I was talking to a married friend and she told me she’s pregnant. but she’s actually ashamed of it. Her baby is barely 3 months old and she’s already carrying another one 😳 What shocked me more she said she was still seeing her period and didn’t even know she was pregnant. I’ve honestly never heard of this before Is it really possible for a woman to be pregnant and still be seeing her period?

@Qute_dentist @WhyAmIANigerian @_Nursepreneur Hi, No one is above a mistake. The pharmacist is a trained professional. Trained for 6 years. He knows drug interactions better than the doctor. In a case like this, I will go with the pharmacist as he is the domain expert in drug matters.

The pharmacist is not wrong, as on a normal, that prescription should not be given but ma'am there are cases where what works for 1 person is not enough to work for another so they'll prescribe higher.

Bolanle sells ready to wear♥️
Maybe this is a Nigerian thing. Where I work, if a pharmacist questions any prescription, we all stop to listen, more often than not, there is always something to adjust. Do you all realise that if something goes wrong with a patient, everyone involved will answer questions, the pharmacist who should have checked before dispensing, the Nurse who administered everyone. So why do Doctors on social media feel they can’t be questioned?????
Dr Scarface📍🩺@king_pearxe

A medical doctor will write out a prescription, and a pharmacist will refuse to give it. A medical doctor will write out tests and investigations, and a medical lab scientist will refuse to do it saying it's too many tests for one person. A nurse will come out and tell a neurosurgeon That hope it's not this brain he uses to cross the road. Once you're a medical doctor in Nigeria you're already in trouble

Today I began my ecumenical pilgrimage here in Rome, praying at the tombs of St Peter and St Paul. We walk in the footsteps of the apostles as God’s pilgrim people - with Christ as our cornerstone. Over the coming days, I invite you to journey with me in prayer - especially in the prayer of Jesus for the unity of his disciples and all God’s people. Our world is deeply wounded by war, division and fear, and it longs for the peace, justice, reconciliation and hope that are found in Jesus Christ alone. We are called to proclaim and live this Gospel together, for the sake of the life of the world that God so loves. “That they may all be one. As you, Father, are in me and I am in you, may they also be in us, so that the world may believe that you have sent me.” (John 17:21)

Small girl 🙈 big God 💪
So after I left my husband’s house, not like I left like that, after the whole issue, we separated. So I went to the village around that time, stayed small, then came back. When I came back, I wanted to get my own apartment and move out. So I contacted the agent that gave me the number. I wanted a two-bedroom apartment because I was living with my daughter, I wanted to go with my daughter. The he agent said two-bedroom apartment was ₦800k, to pay ₦600k, like you pay ₦800,000, then subsequent years you pay ₦600k. I said okay, find me a self-contain. He found one and said ₦450k to pay ₦400k, just one room, like self-con. He said that was the cheapest I could get in that area. I went to price bed, they said a 10-inch bed is ₦208k, that was the least the woman said she could go. I went to price fan too, the price was shocking as well. After pricing all those things, no be person advise me, I came back to my husband’s house with a&g£r over how things were expensive. I came back to the house and told my husband, “You see this house eeh, no be me go leave for you, na you go leave this house for me.” Now I understand why our mothers don’t leave their marriages. Now I see why women are enduring. This is why I am advising women, don’t leave your home for anybody oo. If he do you one, do am two.

What if i had sex with this JSS3 girls when i was in NYSC. This is to show you how small the world is. You know this thing when you travel to another area to serve your NYSC and you feel like you can do certain things and get away with it, because after all it is just one year and you will leave again. When I was doing my NYSC, there were these three girls who were always doing seductive things. I ignored it because I have my morals and I know how I want to play. But imagine someone who decided to take action and get involved with those girls. What happened is that, 2 years after I left NYSC, just today I was walking on the road and I saw one of those girls. She was in JSS3 back then, and now I just saw her here where I am staying in Onitsha. She said she is now here and doing her WAEC Imagine if I was that kind of person that did something with her then, see how you would just get exposed

Some stocks on the NGX have only 20% of their shares available for public trading. The rest is locked with insiders. That’s why small volumes cause big price swings. You try to buy and the price jumps. You try to sell and there’s nobody to buy. Experts are pushing for 50% minimum free float. Until that happens, liquidity will remain this market’s biggest weakness. The NGX looks world class from outside. The plumbing still needs work.

My opinion is that FCCPC v. UBA is one of those court decisions our Banks aren’t going to like. In that case, UBA went to court to argue that, as a CBN-licensed bank, the FCCPC should have no say over it on consumer matters. The Federal High Court in Abuja didn’t agree!!! Not even slightly. Here’s what the case was really about. UBA leaned on Section 251(1)(d) of the Constitution and Section 65(1)(a) of BOFIA 2020, both of which place banking regulation squarely within the CBN’s domain. The FCCPC, on the other hand, relied on Section 104 of the FCCPA 2018 which provides that when it comes to competition and consumer protection, the Act takes priority where there’s a clash. So, in simple terms, the argument was this… “Only the CBN can regulate us” versus “Consumer protection applies across every sector, including banking.” The court agreed with the FCCPC!!! It confirmed that the Commission can investigate consumer complaints involving banks. It also fined UBA N2 million for bringing what it considered a frivolous case. Why does this matter? For a long time, there has been a quiet assumption that once the CBN is involved, that’s the end of the story. This judgment says otherwise. The CBN still handles licensing and supervision. But when it comes to how customers are treated, the FCCPC now has firm ground to step in. For banks and fintechs, this changes the compliance conversation. Your complaints process, customer terms, and even how you handle data-related issues now sit within a more layered regulatory environment. For consumers, it’s simpler. Your options don’t end with the bank. The message is clear. Banks answer to the CBN. They also answer to consumer protection law.
FCCPC Nigeria@fccpcnigeria

Banks answerable to FCCPC, court rules * Dismisses UBA’s suit, fined N2m * It’s a big victory for bank customers, says Tunji Bello Advocacy for consumer rights in the banking sector recorded a major boost today with a judgement by a Federal High Court in Abuja dismissing, in its entirety, a suit by UBA Plc seeking to contest the jurisdiction of the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (FCCPC).  In its ruling, presiding Justice James Omotosho affirmed the Commission’s statutory authority to investigate consumer complaints involving banks and other financial institutions. In the suit, FHC/ABJ/CS/1972/2025, United Bank of Africa Plc sought to determine whether in light of Section 251 (1) (d) of the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria (as amended 2023) and Section 65(1)(a) of the Banks and Other Financial Institutions Act (BOFIA) 2020, the FCCPC could validly exercise jurisdiction over a commercial bank duly licensed by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) and over any of its functions, acts, financial products, or financial services. In his judgement, Justice Omotosho considered Sections 251 (1) (d) of the Constitution and 65(1)(a) of BOFIA, which the plaintiff had relied upon to challenge the Commission’s jurisdiction, and upheld the authority of the FCCPC in competition and consumer protection matters in the financial sector. Consequently, UBA plc was fined N2m for “bringing a frivolous and unmeritorious case against the defendant”.  With respect to receiving and investigating Consumer complaints, the Court stressed that there is no other agency in Nigeria saddled with this responsibility except the FCCPC. “No portion of the Banks and Other Financial Institutions Act gives such powers to the Central Bank of Nigeria, nor does the Central Bank of Nigeria Act,” said Justice Omotosho.  “The FCCPC (Defendant) is therefore the proper agency to investigate such consumer complaints,” the judge held.  He therefore held that the FCCPC “is vested with statutory powers to inquire into Consumer Protection issues involving customers and banks.”  Justice Omotosho cited Sections 1, 2, 17(e) and 104 of the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Act, 2018 (FCCPA), relating to the objectives, scope, investigative powers and application of the Commission’s mandate in matters concerning competition and consumer protection. Section 104 of the FCCPC Act states that “Notwithstanding the provisions of any other law but subject to the provisions of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, in all matters relating to competition and consumer protection, the provisions of this Act shall override the provisions of any other law.”  In a swift reaction, the Executive Vice Chairman/CEO of FCCPC, Mr Tunji Bello, hailed the judgment, describing it as “a significant milestone in our advocacy for bank customers who have for long endured unfair treatment.” He said the judgment provides judicial guidance on the complementary relationship between sector regulation and the consumer protection framework established under the FCCPA. Mr. Bello stated that the decision reinforces confidence that consumers in every sector of the economy, including financial services, are entitled to accessible channels for complaint resolution and lawful redress. He noted that the judgment is also significant for businesses, as it clarifies that regulatory accountability and consumer confidence are mutually reinforcing pillars of a healthy market environment. According to him, the Commission will continue to engage financial institutions and other service providers professionally, fairly, and in accordance with due process, while encouraging internal complaint resolution mechanisms that address consumer concerns promptly.
