We’re proud to reflect on Nanette's first year and excited for ICSA's future. She has focused on what matters most - building strong relationships, listening to school leaders, and laying the foundation for long-term impact across Idaho’s public charter school community.

ICSA recently had the opportunity to meet with Gem Prep Online administrator Heather McKenna to learn more about the incredible work happening at GPO. The school has earned recognition nationally through NAESEA and here in Idaho for the outstanding academic results.

ICSA recently had the opportunity to visit Elevate Academy where CTE spaces provide hands-on learning in culinary arts, construction, welding, and so much more. Seeing the results of their mission lived out by students is what motivates them to do the hard work every day.

What a special way to celebrate Idaho Day at the Capitol! Students from Idaho Novus Classical Academy did an incredible job performing and representing their school with talent and pride. It’s inspiring to see students share their gifts in the heart of our state’s civic life.

Idaho Arts Charter School is a vibrant K-12 public charter school serving 1,240 students across two campuses, where the arts are the conduit for deep academic engagement. The level of academic rigor, paired with arts that could be both seen and heard, made it hard to leave.

ICSA was thrilled to volunteer at the Idaho Commission on Hispanic Affairs' Youth Leadership Summit. Governor Little attended at the summit and spoke with students about the importance of schools offering multiple learning pathways and encouraged them to do their very best.

Doral Academy of Idaho delivers rigorous learning, led by Principal Shapiro, who knows every student by name and teaches the Gifted & Talented Program himself. The school’s mission to foster academic achievement & future leadership is clearly alive in practice.

A standout moment at North Star Charter School was seeing Principal Shay Davis in action. Her commitment to being accessible is unmatched as she navigates the building on her bedazzled scooter, basket included, ready to support students and staff wherever she’s needed.
