Tax Reform A tax on RTGS = the broadest possible tax-base & lowest possible tax-rate... statistically invisible at source. Just 0.25% would fully fund Govt spending in cash, no more deficit or debt, at a rate of £2 Billion per day.

Many people here see record temperatures, in a limited part of Europe in May, as (1) proof of (2) unprecedented (3) human-made (4) climate change that (5) requires economic retrenchment to (6) arrest or reverse. Whatever the reality, that is six reasoning mistakes all at once.

@VinnyGorge Looks like we're a couple of weeks out from these people declaring themselves to be a lawfully convened court of justice, and prosecuting random jews as they pass by.

It feels like there’s been a shift today. 💥 This morning, @The_Nationals MP Alison Penfold introduced a bill to amend the Sex Discrimination Act and restore sex-based rights and protections for women and girls. 💥 Her speech was excellent, and unlike similar bills, hers was not stopped in its tracks. 💥 Then, at a press conference, she and Senator @mattjcan stood shoulder to shoulder with @salltweets - THE WOMAN who represents every woman and girl who has been vilified, punished or harmed as a result of the lie that men can be women. And Sall of course, was her usual brilliant self 👇 📣Every federal politician must work together to GET THIS DONE: womensforumaustralia.org/FixTheSDA cc: @AlboMP @AngusTaylorMP @PaulineHansonOz @larissawaters #FixTheSDA #IStandWithSallGrover #Auspol

Trump literally cannot give in on either point. The claim that he doesn't have the leverage is absurd. Iran is already bankrupt. Every day the Strait remains closed is another day closer to food running out.

My government paid $2 million! for a bathroom in a park. Yet it’s often empty, and it’s already missing a sink. By contrast, this public but PRIVATELY RUN park spent much less, while renovating a public toilet so well that people line up to use it.

The UK does not have a shortage of houses. The 'housing crisis' has always been about the cost of houses. For an increase in supply to bring the cost of the average house to within the reach of the average salary, stock would have to increase by serveral million. A build rate of ~100,000 per year is not sufficient to outpace population growth, and even with a static population figure, sufficient new houses would take 50 years to build. More houses is therefore not, on its own, a suitable answer to the crisis. We need fewer people seeking houses; a working migration policy, a re-prioritisation of 'family'... those new homes which are built should be family homes, not 'affordable' 'starter' homes. We also need to address what has become of the mortgage... In the UK it is currently possible to get a mortgage with 1 or more of these terms: 100% LTV 50 year repayments up to 7x annual income This is ludicrous. A mortgage should be a maximum: 80% LTV Cash deposit, no unsecured loands 25 year repayment 3x annual salary of the households highest earner... not 'household income'

Damning new figures reveal that nearly half the homes built since Labour took office have been wiped out by housing demand from net migration. dailysceptic.org/2026/05/25/nea…

People still piling in to say that Lefties are better educated than the rest of us. Never mind how you are coming across, comrades. If you truly think that conservatism is either a moral or an intellectual failing, please take a moment to read The Righteous Mind by @JonHaidt.

Our constitution is founded on a Civil War, fought in the name of Parliamentary Sovereignty. That anyone ever thought this could be undone with a vote is absurd. x.com/SBarrettBar/st…

GDP is an irrelevant number. Tax cuts aren't 'costs', and arent acheived through 'spending'. Taking less of other peoples money, whilst cutting actual spending to balance the books, are both objectively good policy. Rewriting contracts so that Overtime takes a bigger share of the hours worked, reducing employee liabilities and employer contributions... requiring further spending cuts.... ... this sounds better & better with every spin of the wheel.

Reform UK wants to abolish income tax on overtime. It sounds like a tax cut for hard work. Actually a tax cut for the word “overtime”. So little GDP impact & huge cost - we reckon £14bn not Reform's £5bn If you want to spent £5bn on tax cuts, we have ten better ways: 🧵
