Breaking down these binaries to make space for challenging work around antiracism & antisemitism is hard. But it is the only way forward.

These binaries serve no one. They only serve to drive a wedge between Jews and other oppressed groups, when active solidarity is needed.

Either antisemitism is on the rise, or antisemitism is a problem of the past.

Either antisemitism is rampant on the left, or antisemitism couldn’t possibly exist in these spaces.

Too often, we see conversations about antisemitism reduced to simplistic binaries.

We must also make space for deeper, more complex conversations about antisemitism. Spaces that acknowledge the pain it causes.
