In just a few hours, the Senate will be voting to advance a budget for the Pentagon that would require the US to give Israel unrestricted access to our intelligence gathering and military production.
Americans want to see Israeli crimes against humanity held accountable, not rewarded.
Tell your senators right now an and tell to vote NO on advancing the NDAA until these provisions are debated and voted on: imeupolicy.org/ndaa
Senator Chris Van Hollen@ChrisVanHollen
Senators should vote NO on proceeding with the Pentagon funding bill. It supports a huge increase in spending, gives a blank check to Trump's Iran war, & includes Netanyahu’s proposal REQUIRING more cooperation with the Israeli military. Tune in: x.com/i/broadcasts/1…

Tomorrow, the Senate will vote to advance the 2027 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA), which sets Pentagon policy and currently has multiple obscure provisions that would allow Israel to have greater access to US intelligence and weapons manufacturing.
Senators @ChrisVanHollen and @SenSanders are leading the charge against passing the NDAA until these provisions to merge components of our military with Israel’s are debated and voted on.
Call your Senators right now and tell them to vote NO on advancing the NDAA: imeupolicy.org/ndaa

🇺🇸🇵🇸 “If they can do this to an American congressman, what can they do to Palestinians?”
Rep. Ro Khanna (CA-17) was detained for over an hour near Khirbet Zanuta in the occupied West Bank after armed settlers carrying American-made M4 rifles surrounded his van. Khanna said the IDF soldiers who arrived knew an American congressman was in the vehicle and still sided with the settlers rather than helping. Khanna’s group was only released after the U.S. Embassy intervened.
During his days in the West Bank, including Hebron, Bethlehem, Beit Sahour, and Turmus Ayya, Khanna says he witnessed a “culture of impunity.”
He visited the school in Al-Mughayyir, where a 14-year-old boy and a 32-year-old man were killed by settler gunfire earlier this year, and met with Palestinian American families who’ve lost children to Israeli military and settler violence, including the family of Mohammed Zaher Ibrahim, a 16-year-old American citizen from Florida who was held in Israeli prison for over nine months without trial and returned home starving.
Khanna compared the West Bank to the days of Jim Crow in the United States, and says that Americans need to come to the West Bank and see “the apartheid in the West Bank with their own eyes.”

Watch footage of an Israeli police officer throwing a stun grenade into a Palestinian vehicle in Qalandiya camp
Last night (Sunday), Israeli forces raided Qalandiya Refugee Camp near Ramallah. During the raid, a Border Police officer was filmed abusing a Palestinian driver and throwing a stun grenade into his vehiclewhile blocking the door and preventing him and the passengers from escaping.
In the same raid camp, Israeli forces shot and killed 16-year-old Walid Abu Sneineh and injured three other Palestinians.
The widespread and unprecedented killing of Palestinian children and teenagers in the West Bank is the result of an Israeli policy, which allows the killing and violent abuse of Palestinians with no accountability.

Thank you to the people of NY-10. To everyone who knocked a door, made a call, or donated a dollar: this win is only possible because of your belief in a people’s movement.
Tonight, you sent a resounding message: That you want leadership ready to fight, not fold, against authoritarianism. That you’re ready to join together with neighbors to build a city that is truly affordable & welcoming for all. And that it’s finally time for a politics of solidarity that doesn’t compromise on anyone’s humanity or dignity.
Message heard loud and clear. Tremendously grateful for the honor of representing you. I'll fight ceaselessly to be the congressmember you deserve.

On June 19, 1865, African American communities in Galveston, Texas, finally learned of their freedom from slavery — two and a half years after the Emancipation Proclamation took effect.
For 161 years, Juneteenth has been a day of remembrance for the freedom that was delayed. It is also a celebration of the joy and resilience that flourished despite that delay.
The contributions of African Americans, whose struggle for freedom shaped our nation, are immeasurable. Yet too many Black families continue to bear the brunt of an affordability crisis that has pushed them out of the neighborhoods and communities they've built.
True freedom has a tangible impact on daily life: the ability to afford housing, earn a living wage, put food on the table, support a family, and create a future for generations to come.
As we celebrate today, we must recommit ourselves to ensuring this freedom is fully realized.
Happy Juneteenth, New York City.

“So often in the fight against bigotry, it is made to feel as if we have to choose who we want to keep safe, and what Brad has shown time and again is, in fact, if we are fighting against bigotry, then we fight against all bigotry all the time.“ - @NYCMayor
These words articulate exactly why we support Brad with such full hearts. Because hope is contagious, and day after day, Brad exemplifies a different way, led by hope and courage, in a world that demands polarization, tribalism and even hate. With @JFREJNYC @IfNotNowOrg @EmgageAction

This is what Jewish & Muslim solidarity looks like. Neighbors coming together around a vision of shared safety, dignity & peace. In NYC. In DC. In Israel & Palestine, and across the world.
We're united around a belief that a better world is possible — one in which we don’t compromise on anyone’s humanity. One in which we are not complicit in occupation & genocide. One in which everyone has a home they can afford, with no bombs falling on it, in a place where they are both safe and free.
A wholehearted thank you to @JFREJNYC, @IfNotNowOrg, @EmgageAction, Muslim Democratic Club of NYC, @israelispeaceny, @MaozInon, @AzizAbuSarah, Ruth Messinger, Rabbi Sharon Kleinbaum, Mohsen Mahdawi, @ShahanaFromBK, and of course @ZohranKMamdani. And to the hundreds of neighbors who joined us for our canvass this afternoon.

New footage obtained by B’Tselem uncovers the moments when the Abu Haikal family was shot. Seven-month-old Sam Abu Haikal was killed in the shooting, and both his parents were injured. The footage clearly shows that the Israeli soldier fired at the car as it was slowing to a stop. The car was far from the soldiers and posed no danger to them whatsoever.
Moments later, in another video obtained by B’Tselem, seven-month-old Sam’s father, Fahed, is seen just after his son was shot. Fahed is holding baby Sam in his arms, trying to stop the bleeding from his head with his hands, while Sam’s mother, Daniyah, who was also injured by the gunfire while holding her son, is seen sitting on the ground, next to the car.
Last Friday, 5 June, an Israeli soldier fired at a Palestinian family driving home from a family visit, as they sat in their car in the Tel Rumeidah neighborhood in Hebron. The family was shot as the car was slowing to a stop at the soldier’s command. Sam, a seven‑month‑old baby who was in his mother’s arms in the back seat, was struck in the head and pronounced dead shortly afterward. Sam’s parents were also injured by the gunfire; his mother is still in the hospital. After the shooting, the soldier who fired and another soldier who was with him left the scene without checking the car or offering any assistance to the critically wounded baby or to his mother.
In the past two and a half years, Israel has killed tens of thousands of children in Gaza and the West Bank. The immunity it gets from the international community has led to a reality where, under Israeli rule, Palestinian lives are entirely disposable – even a seven‑month‑old baby.
