🚨Crews at risk in the Gulf🚨 Just heard from a crewmember on one of the 3,200 ships stuck in the Persian Gulf. A ship called the local port authority requested permission to dock as they had run out of water. They were denied permission! @Rebel44CZ I work at a global multi-satcom provider. I also run SDRs as a hobby. The uplink is not all that hard to detect. So I wouldn't bet lives on that assumption.

@ignace I work in telco and know how Starlink terminals work and what equipment you would need to detect and trace its transmissions :)

My guess is that "advanced technological tools" means just driving around and detecting WiFi networks with MAC addresses that ID them as SpaceX devices. The solution is to disable WiFi on Starlink and either use ethernet, or to connect a 3rd party WiFi AP to it.
