Not coincidentally, it's also the exact demographic targeted by the likes of Tucker Carlson, Candace Owens, Megyn Kelly and Carrie Prejean. You may not care about whether a health care provider refuses to work with little Jewish children. But what if it's other medical providers who won't treat Jews? Or worse? Never mind that anti-Semitic attacks in America are up almost five-fold since 2017. Do the people who have started echoing the "Israel controls America" nonsense even understand the ramifications of how that feeds anti-Semitism? Do they understand that you can't claim that "Jews" or the Jewish state are secretly leading America off a cliff and potentially into permanent ruin without inflaming anti-Semitism? Because you know who DOES understand that Jews will directly suffer from these new "anti-Israel" narratives? The very people pushing them: Tucker, Candace, Megyn, Prejean, and their minions.

Do you believe this?” So if Jesus will say this, why then do Prots insist on saying something that is contrary to what Jesus had said and made clear to us all?? Thats by far the more natural reading of the text. It is far more parsimonius and simple than inventing the bizarre notion of some vow of celibacy that a woman would take *going into a marriage* 1. That the text doesn't mention. 2. That is unknown in Jewish practice 3. That is unknown in the Old Testament 4. That arguably the Old Testament won't countenance. Genesis 2 says physical intimacy is essential to what marriage is.

Mary and Joseph were indeed in the kiddushin stage, but that meant that Mary was still living in her own father's house for, often, a year. They were expected to consumate their marriage only on the actual wedding day at the end of that year. Thats why Mary responded, "how can this be?" She wasn't expecting to be sextually active in the near future. On the wedding day the bride would be led by a bridal procession from her fathers home to the grooms home, that he had prepared a bridal suite in. They would consumate their marriage there. And BTW Luke confirms this timing: Luke 2 says she was very much pregnant and still betrothed ἐμνηστευμένῃ when they set out on their journey to Bethlehem.

Either he forgives without compensation (Islam), which means he isn't Just, only merciful, or he receives a compensation relative to the gravity of the offense and only Christ could provide that.
