Keep work across multiple folders in one Codex project. Local projects can now include related code, docs, and reference files from multiple folders. Codex can read and write across them while one primary folder remains the Git root.

@abhinavflac Really cool! Thanks for sharing. Mind if I adapt it for a different use case?

Kimi k3 just cooked this a fully procedural floating trading card view in WebGL without any image assets all this is done completely inside the vertex shader this just so happens to be very clean....proper low level flex.

@fal And here’s the direct comparison: the clean 3D control Codex generated vs. the Kling output. Really impressed by what came out of this quick experiment.

Then I pushed it further: could it make the same CGI flight look more realistic? Codex exported a clean 10-second video and sent it through Kling in @fal using references. I got back a similar camera path, transformed from a JS world into something that looks similar to what an FPV drone could've recorded! Really cool

Caved in and tried Codex w/ GPT-5.6 in Blender, then had it build a JS app to interact with it. Using maps, reference images and real scale, it modeled SF’s Palace of Fine Arts, nearby streets and building, then made it explorable on foot, by car or plane. It even choreographed this flight! 1/2

So I asked for 5.6 for good "combat feedback". Bro this is way too intense omg. I feel back for the little critters too now. But the story is that Sol is really good at translating an intent into actual gameplay!

I'm a making public a little workflow I've been using to build my various games showcase: The Infinite Build It's a guide on how to define a project, work with 5.6 on the intent, vibes. Make concept arts and then set a self improving goal! the-infinite-build.openai.chatgpt.site

@thsottiaux In-app folders to organize projects! Really simple but would decrease a lot of fishing around for related projects…

What is something that you feel is surprising that Codex still can't do well and we should have gotten right a while ago?

We've reset usage limits across our products! For those just starting to test Fable, here's four tips for using it more effectively: 1. Give it bigger, more ambitious tasks than what previous models could handle. 2. Use xhigh/high effort as your default for best performance, med for faster interactive sessions. 3. Rework your skills and CLAUDE.mds. Instructions written for prior models anchor Fable to stale patterns, let it use its own judgment first. 4. Move from providing tasks to providing objectives. Describe what done looks like and how to verify it, then let Fable find the path (/loop and /goal are built for this)

To celebrate the Fable 5 launch, we just reset 5-hour and weekly limits for all users across our products! Enjoy 🚀

@thsottiaux for the app, the ability to group projects in arbitrary folders (eg. work, side projects, etc. See mockup)
