📃 Una donna di 93 anni, morta nel 2019 a Lissone senza marito né figli, aveva deciso di lasciare la sua casa e circa 570 mila euro ai monaci benedettini del monastero di Dumenza. Tutto era stato scritto in un testamento dettagliatissimo redatto nel 2011 e depositato dal notaio, in cui la signora aveva indicato con precisione soldi, immobili, documenti e persino le disposizioni per funerale e sepoltura. Dopo la sua morte, però, i due nipoti hanno contestato quel documento sostenendo che esistesse un secondo testamento, scritto nel 2017, in cui la zia lasciava tutti i beni soltanto a loro. Il caso è finito in tribunale e una perizia calligrafica ha stabilito che il secondo documento è falso: secondo i giudici sarebbe stato creato copiando il testamento originale «per trasparenza», cioè ricalcandolo. Ora gli atti sono stati inviati alla Procura di Monza per accertare eventuali responsabilità penali. Se venisse dimostrato il coinvolgimento dei nipoti nella falsificazione, rischierebbero anche di perdere le somme che la zia aveva comunque lasciato loro nel primo testamento autentico. 📸Ansa/VATICAN MEDIA HANDOUT

I suppose that some historical conditions make it easier for popes to follow God better. I'd love to see if this pattern reflects in other saints too.

@ruallsion Regardless of the validity of the claim of that miracles are happening at a higher rate, having a somewhat rare honor become suddenly more common is a signal of medal creep and usually makes the public more skeptical. Even if they are all deserving, they should be careful.

@AntoniusOhii That's likely, and true for me too. However I think that this specifically is aimed at the people that think that those aren't for them. But after this, I qualify in those people. So now I started an infinite circle of them being and not being aimed at me.
