Despite roadblocks from liberals in MN, two big bills just passed. 1. Creation of the Office of Inspector General to combat fraud, independent of the Gov. 2. Work requirements for Medicaid which is a top @POTUS priority. Congrats to all that worked on these important issues.

House Republicans’ #1 priority bill has just PASSED. Billions of taxpayer dollars were lost to fraud while Democrats controlled state government. That was not bad luck. It was years of ignored warnings, weak oversight, and no real accountability. Today, the House passed the Office of Inspector General bill to bring independent oversight, protect taxpayer dollars, and help make sure this never happens again.

Decisions like this make Minnesota a magnet for illegal immigrants and threaten the social safety net for our own citizens. Decisions like these lead to deficits for places like HCMC. It's time to change course. Let's put Minnesotans first!

DHS is in need of real leadership that will stop the fraud, hold employees accountable for doing basic internal controls and reward, not retaliate against, whistleblowers. This is an important opportunity to change course.

In today's @MN_Fraud_Cmte hearing, Jay Swanson, former manager in the the DHS OIG, discussed the infamous Quality Learing Center, as well as where some fraudsters first learned about the daycare scam: "They would say they had first heard about it while in a refugee camp in Kenya. These individuals told us they had heard that you can run a scam in a number of different states, but it was easiest and you could make the most money doing it in Minnesota."

When oversight fails, families and taxpayers pay the price. Today’s hearing in Minnesota put a spotlight on serious questions about fraud prevention, inspections, and accountability in public programs, raised by @ImSchultz. Every dollar lost to abuse is a dollar diverted from children and families who truly need help. 🇺🇸

BREAKING: DOJ confirms to @FoxNews that FBI and HSI agents are currently raiding 20+ locations in the Minneapolis, MN area in relation to ongoing federal fraud investigations. Sources tell FOX the locations are largely Somali linked businesses, including the infamous "Quality Learning Center". I'm told these are court approved search warrants being served and they are tied to fraud, not immigration enforcement. Fox is told 22 search warrants were executed in Minnesota this morning. DOJ spokesperson holding statement: “Today the FBI with federal, state and local law enforcement is involved in court-authorized law enforcement activity as part of an ongoing fraud investigation.”
