@ministryofsound that break in is your karma for charging £85 for 5 single brandies and mixer!
£17 a drink at a day party is criminal, not even doubles should cost that much 😡

This is long overdue!
This will not only be about my experiences living in the countryside but others including ex black police officers.
I have made contact with various authorities and no one wants to help.

Hey @RichieBrave, hope all is well.
I never heard back from your team to the email I sent last year.
It’s an explosive story of institutional racism in the countryside spanning 30 years which needs to be heard.

Most things pass through at least 3 channels before the green light.
Why do they need to put 2 wolves doggystyling for the ad of a Christmas movie on the main screen of prime
🤔🤦🏽♂️

@OrionDuCros @chantellelunt So Cameron, you studied law and publicly being racist? Makes sense
Anyway… are you back in England or being racist from Asia?
English

@chantellelunt You never wondered by black people can't feed their families when literally every other person in the country manages it

I was visiting a friend in Camberwell earlier and popped into Co-Op to pick up a card. While trying to locate the cards, I noticed a young Black boy aged around 14 years old. He was slim and timid-looking, crouched down, holding a bag of cookies in his hand. I watched as he slipped the cookies into his open bag with an embarrassed look. It was painfully obvious what he was doing, and just as obvious that this was a crime born out of necessity and survival.
I felt torn — wanting to help, but not wanting to make it worse for him by highlighting what he was doing. So, I left him to it and asked the cashier to help me find a Christmas card. I eventually found a card and exhaled in relief when I saw that the boy was no longer in the aisle. Unfortunately, as I made my way to the tills, I realised he had been apprehended. He was now standing with another shop assistant, caught in the act.
At this point, I intervened, offering to pay for the cookies myself. Surprisingly, the shop assistant (another POC) informed me that the boy wasn’t in trouble and he was buying the cookies for the boy - I saw him chatting with him afterwards too, offering support.
This beautiful act of kindness restored my faith in humanity but also left me with so many questions:
- How should we, as a community, respond to crimes of necessity (like a child stealing food) in late-stage capitalism?
- What would the dynamic have been like if the shop assistant hadn’t been a person of colour who wanted to help, or if no one had been ready to support the boy?
- How can supermarkets, which make eye-watering profits, fulfil their corporate responsibilities and ensure that acts of kindness like this don’t fall solely on the shoulders of staff, who are already working for a pittance?
I'm thinking about this on the train home, and I’d be interested to hear your thoughts too.

I don’t know about their other products but stay away from @HisenseUK washing machines!
It has ruined multiple items, the washes are 2 - 3.5 hours, 15-30 min quick washes are too short for me.
I’m kicking myself for leaving my 8 year old @MieleUSA in the previous property
