@newstart_2024 I observed a two year slaughter in Gaza of women and children. Melanie has spent a lot of time denying that, all evidence to the contrary. Her diagnosis is right, but she is no less guilty of the same crime.

Dissent isn’t argued with — it’s treated as a moral threat that has to be removed. The deepest irony? We’re so “rational” we’ve dispensed with the very tools of rationality. It doesn’t add up. Her take has me wondering how we got here — and how quickly disagreement turned into moral excommunication. @newstart_2024 Truth? Online Right simply loves to immediately go, "what is a woman," when cornered about a terrible policy choice from Trump, etc. That's identity politics as escape route. In fact, without these identity politics the Right would be nowhere. Their governance sucks so bad.
