It actually isn't though. Years ago, I got an invite to the Diamond Jubilee. Kept it in a memory box alongside invites to Downing Street. Because, guess what? Noone on either side of my fenian family has ever done either of those things and likely never will. Though none of them were the slightest bit interested. Not their King, not their government. Thus, no big deal.
