X is great for real time news but man is it such a divided echo chamber and reminder that the internet is not real life. The real conversation is happening on Instagram. If you are on that platform make sure you are following my account @ instagram.com/williamswitzer…

@MinorPebble Easy. I would push for an independent audit of our governmental spending. I would also push legislation that focuses funds that were suppose to be going to infrastructure actually go to that. Not a general fund that is taken advantage of by these out of touch politicians.

I get what Jeff is saying and yes he has a great point on the individual choice level. We have all thought it, but if we do not start actually competing and fighting back there will come a point when you can no longer run. Our state of Colorado is that for me.

Or hear me out. We take on the hurdle front facing. We outwork our opposition in both funding, and on the ground. Our principals and values are longstanding. We just have to have the messaging and bring valid solutions. This election is the put up or shut up moment for Colorado.

So let me get this straight… We’re being told Colorado needs to scrap the flat income tax because this is supposedly a huge win for the “working class.” Let’s look at it. Current tax rate: 4.4% Under the proposal: First $25,000: 3.7% $25,001–$100,000: 4.2% $100,001–$500,000: 4.4% For someone making $100,000, that’s roughly a $125/year tax cut compared to today’s flat rate. That’s about $10 a month. Ten dollars. That’s the “working class” tax relief we’re supposed to celebrate while politicians campaign on completely overhauling Colorado’s tax system. Meanwhile, once you get above $500,000, the rates jump to 7.4%, 7.9%, and 8.4%. If your goal is to argue for higher taxes on high earners, then make that argument. But let’s stop pretending this is some life-changing tax break for working families. Saving enough each month to maybe cover one fast-food meal isn’t exactly the affordability revolution it’s being sold as. Read the initiative. Do the math. Don’t just buy the slogan. One factual note: the exact savings depend on taxable income, not gross income, so the “$125/year” example is an illustration for someone with about $100,000 of taxable income. #unfilteredpolitics #copolitics

He would be wise to take the stance of opposition though. As it is consistent and would help him build a pro local business framing/backing. But that could distance him from the local level of his party that does hold a lower level of control. We have gotten the mayor to speak on this. He leans towards the hesitation of it at this time. So our attention/pushback to this measure is working and the conversation must continue. Our goal should be to end the measure before it comes up to a council vote on furthering proposal.

I would argue he is unaware of this as it’s still just a proposal. It is important to note that if it takes and becomes a taxation this would be a mayoral issue not a governors. If it does hit his radar I’d be curious to see his response. I would imagine he will be passive in making a comment at this time.

Phil Wesier sued the “ticket” companies so he could save you the money so Denver could take it away with taxes. The communists will give you just enough to survive while keeping you slaves to the State. #colorado #copolitics

There was some initial issues with this legal case but in its entirety the direction and ultimately success was a net positive for the live entertainment industry and local venues. It was mostly a win for consumers/attendees as well. The Big business take over of our industries has been not only enabled by the GOP but has become a worst issue than BigGov in many cases. (especially in states like Colorado where our government doesn't have the checks and balances due to a single party rule for almost a decade. We see this obviously in the tech and cultural industries like entertainment etc. Influence is another form and pathway of control. That we as the consumer need to call for more accountability.

@BreakTheChainsM @mrosazza If this Colorado tax proposal passes this "take" is kind of accurate. To be politically honest tho it would land more on Denver's mayor (who because of the pressure and push back of my campaign, and all of you, he is hesitate on supporting it). Conversation is still occurring.

Listen up, Colorado. The primaries taught us one simple truth. Democrats want a rebrand, and the far left in their party earned it this cycle. Republicans have to offer a rebuilding if they want a chance at winning this fall in the general election. That takes hard work, proper messaging, and implementing actual solutions, not just swinging further right in opposition.
