I was going to keep this short & sweet but I've got a bit too much to say so I'm just going to dump it all in one long tweet.
First the tl;dr - I accepted a job offer in Europe & will be moving at the end of the month.
It's a big change to be sure, but it's one I've wanted to try for the better part of a decade and I'm extraordinarily excited it's actually happening.
It feels weird to be leaving NYC after living here for the last 15 years (the only place I've spent more time was my childhood home in Texas), but I take solace in knowing that I'll be back regularly to visit friends and family.
To everyone who came to a WASD Live or a Crossover Arc from the bottom of my heart: thank you.
You all made the last five years extraordinarily special in ways I can't adequately express with words. Running locals wasn't always easy--and hell it wasn't always fun--but it was always rewarding. I wish from the bottom of my heart I had someone to hand WASD Lives off to, but as a primarily one man operation, that's unfortunately not in the cards.
THAT BEING SAID, don't expect @WASDgaming_gg to just evaporate.
All seasons will finish according to schedule (unless something absolutely major happens).
Long term, I'll need production help for #GBVSR and #MBTL (>>> if you or anyone you know is interested PLEASE reach out <<<) but I fully intend for both both online series to continue beyond the current season. #UNI2 is on weekends so I should still be able to host those from abroad without too much trouble.
@CrossoverArc, as well, is not dead. I still have the drive for it to return in 2026 so please keep an eye out for that.
Finally, once I get settled, it would be great to run some European tournaments. I need to do some research and see how saturated the online scene in particular is but I'm almost positive that for at least MBTL and UNI2 there should be enough space for me to run something regular.
Finally, I want to leave a note for everyone who has helped as staff over the years: thank you for helping me build WASD into what it is today. Whether you helped with online events or offline, know that I genuinely appreciated each and every minute of work that you put in.
