The bottom line is that roughly the same number of illegal aliens are still trying to enter the country each month. They're just not doing it by crossing the border illegally. Instead the Biden Admin is breaking the law by granting them parole and giving them work permits.

@TheRealAstox @DisneyLorcana I can't speak for the devs, of course, but I'm pretty sure the "another" text in the Sceptre of Arendelle is necessary to distinguish it from the 'chosen' character receiving support. In other words, it's a second "choice", not necessarily a second character.

I oppose the teaching of LGBTQ concepts before 5th grade. I oppose teaching most sexuality-related concepts before 5th grade. Americans are with me on this: 62% of us don't want LGBT books taught in elementary school. Not because of "homophobia." We support gradualized sex ed.

@StrongBordersTX The first two directly take my private property without my permission. Immigration doesn't do that (even illegal immigration). The last one isn't even illegal. Even if I knew someone to be a convicted thief, I would be a fool to legally ban them from my neighborhood.

You wouldn't allow a thief taking your belongings, You wouldn't allow a trespasser inside your home, You wouldn't want them to be your neighbor, So why do we let illegals enter our country, drive up the cost of living, and allow them to take services from citizens?

Refugees are not migrants. Migrants are not refugees. All have rights that must be respected, but we should not conflate the two. Refugees have the right to seek asylum and to international protection from persecution and violence.

@NumbersUSA That's very low, when you consider per-capita rates. Immigration to the United States was much larger in the past.

Since 1990, the U.S. has admitted on average one million permanent (legal) immigrants per year. That's 32,155,659 (1990-2021).

@christianbrits I don't think that line of argument is approaching the idea in good faith. Obviously ebikes either have differences with cars, or have perceived differences that would make people less likely to buy them. They can't replace cars in all cases, but in many cases, they can.

@JonFeere @latimes Because "stoop labor" means human beings get paid? When I see restrictionists argue for decreasing immigration as a means of encouraging more automation, it seems like an implicit admission that the goal is not more citizens working in fields, but rather fewer foreigners.
