The whole Western-aligned Israel project; the annual aid package, the unbroken UN veto, exemption from the rules-based order, Iron Dome co-funding, F-35 carve-outs, the QME guarantee, Wall Street credit access, diplomatic permission to expand settlements without consequence, none of it was free. It was the rental fee on a specific service: keeping the Levant unstable enough that Western capital could extract from a perpetually crisis-managed Middle East. Hezbollah, Hamas, IRGC, the Houthis. They weren't Israel's problem. They were Israel's job. The proxy network was the demand-generation engine for everything Israel sold the West: indispensability, frontline-state status, "only democracy in a sea of terror". The threat justified the subsidy. Remove the threat and the subsidy has no rationale. The entire regional architecture Israel was built to manage just dissolved into a Chinese-brokered, Gulf-financed integration zone that does not require an ethnostate frontline to function. What is Israel, in that world? A small, expensive, demographically declining settler project of seven million "Jews" sitting on top of seven million Palestinians, surrounded by 400 million Arabs whose governments no longer need to pretend they care, in a region whose oil money is flowing into Chinese ports and African corridors instead of US Treasuries. The iron wall only worked when the West was paying to maintain it. The West is leaving. Israel without enemies is Israel without a purpose.

@Draciele2 We have a declining number in work force. It is bad for the economy, social security and much more. But… you do you.

If you remove 350,000 foreign workers, that will cause areas to raise wages to get employees. This in turn drives more people not currently employed to go for those jobs, and force employers to also raise wages for currently employed workers. This isnt fucking rocket science.

I was a Protestant for my entire life until 2 weeks ago. I don’t think I was ever attacked or mocked by a Catholic during that time. As a Catholic, I can’t say I love church without some Protestants telling me I worship the devil. Calm down, you don’t have it that bad.

I think the reason Congress doesn’t address the problem is because most members support granting birthright citizenship to children of illegal aliens and are not bothered by birth tourism. That is not reflective of the views of the public, of course.
