The Engaged Research of the Year award goes to the ‘Hidden Grief Research Project.’ This project explored additional family-related outcomes, drug-related client loss for healthcare professionals, and drug-related peer loss for people in addiction. #UCCResearchInnovationAwards

Today I visited Ireland’s first supervised injecting facility in @MerchantsQuayIR and presented them with a copy of the licence for operation which I signed last month as Minister. gov.ie/en/press-relea… As well as providing medical attention when needed, and enabling access to health and social care services, the facility is helping to make the local community safer by removing instances of drug injecting from public spaces. I was delighted that former Minister Catherine Byrne also attended this event as she was instrumental in progressing this facility. @roinnslainte @HSELive @drugsdotie
