BELAKU – Karnataka Income Tax Department Women’s Welfare Association celebrated International Women’s Day 2026 on 13.03.2026. A painting exhibition featuring artworks by women officers, officials and their daughters was curated with the support of the department’s administration. The exhibition was inaugurated by Ms. Mitali Madhusmita (Retd. PrCCIT – AP & Telangana) in the presence of Ms. Preeti Garg, Pr CCIT – Karnataka & Goa Region, Ms. Precilla Singsit, Pr. CCIT, Mr. SanjeevSingh, CCIT and other senior officers and officials. Ms. Preeti Garg, Pr Chief Commissioner of Income Tax, Karnataka & Goa Region addressed the gathering encouraging everyone to reflect, reaffirm and move forward with purpose. A panel discussion featuring veteran and young sportswomen was moderated by Ms. M. Padma (Addl. CIT) and Ms. Ritu Meena (ACIT). The panelists, Ms. Christable Demelo, JCIT, Ms. Mamatha ,ITO, Ms. Hemamalini, TA and Ms. Sonali Sharma — shared their experiences and insights from their sporting journeys. The evening was enriched by a Carnatic music performance by Ms. Sowmya Achar, PCIT, accompanied by Ms. Jyotsna, ITI and Sri Srinivas, ITI. The program concluded with felicitation of women sports achievers of the department, recognising their dedication and accomplishments.

A Mental Wellness Programme was organised by BELAKU – Karnataka Income Tax Department Women’s Welfare Association for women officers and officials of the Income Tax Department. Ms. Neeta Biandur delivered an insightful presentation through an interactive workshop supported by a comprehensive PPT. The session was followed by a counselling segment led by Ms. Madhavi, providing practical guidance and support on mental well-being. An engaging Q&A session enabled participants to openly discuss concerns and gain valuable perspectives on maintaining mental health and work-life balance.
