Earlier reports said bandits invaded the school between 2 a.m. and 3 a.m. on Friday. The Head of Disaster and Relief in Agwara LGA, Ahmed Abdullahi Rofia, had acknowledged the incident by phone but provided limited details. In a statement, Abubakar Usman, Secretary to the State Government, said the school had ignored a prior government directive to shut all boarding schools in the area due to security intelligence, insisting that the Catholic institution defied the warning and resumed activities.
