I rarely eat out. Maybe once a month. Went yesterday to a restaurant (Italian, Mediterranean) in West Seattle for Mother’s Day last night. Total for 5 of us ( we don’t drink alcohol) with one salad, humus and 3 vegetarian pastas was $97 The check said 3.5% surcharge for credit card. Then 17% service fee, mandatory. Then tips were 20% 22% and 25% optional. I asked if I could pay in cash. No. They don’t take cash. Then how can I avoid the credit card fee I asked. You can’t. So I asked why the service charge. It pays for the employees they said. Then why the tip I asked. It pays for front office staff I don’t get it.

Looks more of a market swelling due to Memory (not even entire semiconductor play) rather than an overall well rounded growth. If the ai bubble collapse the demand will vaporize in a day and these become a meme stock?
Trade Whisperer@TradexWhisperer

$MU $DRAM $SNDK Let me break this Morgan Stanley's chart precisely. The blue bar is what the industry can produce by 2027 at current trajectory. The tan/beige bar on top is the incremental DRAM demand that Agentic AI specifically adds by 2030 on top of that 2027 supply baseline. Lower bound: Agentic AI adds 26% more DRAM demand on top of 2027 supply. Meaning even in the conservative scenario the industry needs to produce roughly a quarter more than everything it can make by 2027 just to meet the additional Agentic AI driven demand by 2030. Upper bound: AI adds 77% more DRAM demand on top of 2027 supply. Meaning in the bull case the industry needs to produce nearly double what it can make by 2027 just to meet AI demand by 2030. Mind the mid-point: ~52%. That's huge in just a few years. This is incremental demand on top of everything already projected. Morgan Stanley is not replacing the existing DRAM demand forecast for 2030. They are saying Agentic AI creates an additional 15 to 45 exabytes of demand that did not exist in prior models. Extraordinary. Why? The industry cannot simply flip a switch and produce 77% more DRAM by 2030. HBM alone consumes 3 to 4 times more wafer space than standard DRAM per gigabyte. Supply takes years to build. Fabs take 3 to 5 years to come online. Morgan Stanley is essentially saying it is a structural gap that widens every year through 2030. 2031 to 2040 is the decade that matters most to me. The race for Artificial General Intelligence. Think about what AGI actually means. Not a smarter chatbot. Not a faster agent. A system that thinks the way humans think. Learns the way humans learn. Remembers the way the best human minds remember. A true AGI does not forget your conversation from yesterday. It does not lose context from a week ago. It builds on every interaction. Every piece of information. Every relationship between ideas. Continuously. Permanently. That is near infinite context. And near infinite context requires near infinite memory. The 15 to 45 exabyte DRAM demand Morgan Stanley projects for 2030 is the appetizer. AGI is the main course.

INDIAN ILLEGALS IN THE USA: WAY MORE THAN ORIGINALLY THOUGHT – THIRD LARGEST GROUP NATIONWIDE 50% or more of the Indians you see are illegal..just look at the numbers. Pew Research Center dropped the numbers: An estimated 725,000 undocumented Indians living in the US as of recent data (around 2022-2024 figures still cited in 2025 reports). INDIAN ILLEGALS IN AMERICA THIRD LARGEST GROUP, WAY MORE THAN MOST REALIZED A top non-partisan research group (Pew Research Center) just updated the numbers: Around 725,000 people from India living here illegally as of 2023. That puts India right behind Mexico and El Salvador/Guatemala – not the small number people used to think. Older guesses were much lower (some as low as a couple hundred thousand), but the real surge hit via visa overstays (people come legally, then stay past expiration) plus the "donkey route" – long, smuggler-led paths ending at our border. Border run-ins with Indians exploded: Just 1,000 in 2020 -> 97,000 in 2023, before Trump's crackdown dropped it hard in 2025. Why it matters for America First: This flood of low-wage foreign labor (legal H-1B gets the spotlight, but illegals undercut even more) suppresses wages at the bottom and middle for American workers. Tech, hospitality, construction – jobs citizens would do if not undercut by desperation labor. Trump's team is fighting back: Thousands deported already in 2025 (highest in years), ICE flights running. But 725K is still a huge hidden flood. Time to deport them all, close the doors, let American paychecks rise first. Biometrics is key as they are discovering up to a dozen sharing the exact same identification. This is roughly equal to the number of H1B legally in the USA...think about that. If it seems like theres twice as many as there should be... you are right - so there is a 50% chance each one you run into is illegal. This is a massive jump from older, lower estimates (some DHS figures pegged it as low as 220,000 in 2022, MPI at 375,000). The surge came via visa overstays (steady at low rates but adding up) PLUS explosive "donkey route" border crossings – encounters with Indians at the border skyrocketed from ~1,000 in 2020 to 97,000 in FY2023, then ~90,000 in 2024. Many from Punjab/Haryana facing job shortages, political issues, high unemployment – paying smugglers big bucks for roundabout paths through multiple countries to hit our borders. The old narrative was "mostly Latin America" – wrong. India's illegal population exploded far beyond what most thought, holding the wage line low while big biz donors benefit. Time to deport them all, seal it, let Americans climb first. Share this. Quote it. Spread the message and raise awareness – we're onto the full picture now.

Today is the start of a very important day in the AI world... the trial between Elon and Sam/OpenAI begins today in Oakland Federal Court. The jury selection is happening right now in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California and opening arguments are expected Tuesday. The civil jury trial is projected to last 2-4 weeks, with Judge Yvonne Gonzalez Rogers making the final call. So let me tell you why this fight all came about. 1/ In 2015 Elon co-founded OpenAI with Sam Altman and others as a nonprofit to develop artificial general intelligence safely and openly for the benefit of all humanity... this was supposed to NOT be for profit or for closed corporate control. Elon was a major early funder, contributing around $38-44 million (~60% of early seed funding) plus resources like compute and recruiting. 2/ Then, Elon left the board in 2018 over disagreements for the direction of the company and Microsoft’s growing role of the company. 3/ Later, OpenAI took billions from Microsoft, restructured with a for-profit arm, initially “capped profit,” now more commercial... went closed-source in practice, and exploded in value with ChatGPT. FYI, the current valuation of OpenAI now sits at ~$852 billion and the company recently completed restructuring with a for-profit entity reporting into a nonprofit foundation. Now, with the trial, Elon is saying Altman, Brockman, and OpenAI breached the founding charitable trust and agreement by turning it into a “wealth machine” that prioritizes profits and insiders over the original mission. He claims they deceived him about their plans... This lawsuit was originally filed in November 2024, was withdrawn, and then revived in early 2026. And just this Friday, April 24, Elon voluntarily dropped the fraud claims to “streamline” the case and keep the jury focused on the mission issue... proceeding on breach of charitable trust and unjust enrichment. This is what Elon is looking to get back from Sam and OpenAI: a/ substantial damages, with stakes in the $100B+ range, with many reports saying it's in the range of ~$134B and the winnings will be given to the nonprofit/charity arm and will NOT benefit Elon personally b/ possible unwinding/restructuring to restore the original nonprofit mission c/ leadership changes (e.g., getting rid of Altman/Brockman from key roles). On the other side, OpenAI is claiming: a/ Elon knew about and once supported commercialization steps, saying he even explored merging with Tesla or gaining control himself b/ OpenAI calls the suit competitive sabotage from rival Elon's company xAI and says this is driven by jealousy over OpenAI’s success This is SUCH an important trial in the world of AI... people may not fully understand. The reason is bc Elon has repeatedly warned that profit-driven, closed-source AGI is very dangerous. This is his chance to enforce the original “benefit humanity” mission he helped create and walked away from in 2018. A big win will hurt OpenAI’s valuation, upcoming IPO plans, Microsoft partnership, and market dominance/customer perspective of the company... and this will also force real changes in how the world’s leading AI lab operates, influencing the entire AI race and future regulations. For me, Sam Altman straight up CANNOT be trusted with the future of AGI, and this trial proves why Elon was right to fight it. This is the same guy who got fired by his own board in 2023 for not being “consistently candid,” then crawled back in and turned the nonprofit “open for humanity” promise into a closed-source, Microsoft-bankrolled profit machine worth hundreds of billions. Elon was the one who put up the early cash and vision to keep AI safe and beneficial for all of us... not to create a trillion-dollar insider club. If Altman gets away with rewriting the rules after the fact, it sets a dangerous precedent that mission-driven tech is just marketing fluff. I believe Elon isn’t doing this for ego or rivalry... he’s really doing it bc someone has to hold the line before profit-over-people AGI becomes unstoppable. This one’s personal for the man who actually wants to understand the universe instead of just cashing in on it. Humanity needs Elon to win. And that's who I'm rooting for!

David Sacks: Nonprofits need to manufacture problems in America to stay in business David Sacks: “Here's the systemic problem with nonprofits and NGOs. Let me just contrast it with business. In business, you set up a company, the company has to make revenue, it has to make profits. And if it doesn't, it's going to go out of business, right? Because it'll lose money. So there's a feedback mechanism from the market. With an NGO, nonprofit, what have you, they raise money. They don't sell things. They fundraise from donors in order to engage in an activity, but what happens over time is the actual activities may stop mattering, and all that really matters is they're able to keep fundraising, right? Because they're just trying to figure out a justification to keep going back to donors to get more and more money out of them. That's what perpetuates the organization.” Chamath: “ Why wouldn't the Southern Poverty Law Center focus on southern poverty? Which is an issue that actually still exists in some shape or form. Why do you call it one thing, focus on racism, and then all of a sudden whip up fake racism?” Sacks: “I do think that at one time in this country, civil rights was a noble cause, a very legitimate cause. We had the legacy of segregation and Jim Crow, and there were groups that were set up to basically change that, and they succeeded. But again, no one in an NGO or a nonprofit ever declares victory. When Obama got elected in 2008, regardless of whether you liked Obama or not, or agreed with his politics, I thought that at that point, most people could see that this was not a racist country. Whatever else you could say, the fact that the highest office in the land was not denied to anybody showed that this country was not holding people back based on their skin color. And instead of just basically packing up shop and saying, ‘Okay, we've achieved our goal,’ the goalposts all got moved. Remember, that's when the whole anti-racism thing started, was around Obama's second term. If they just said at that time, ‘You know what, we're going to move the goalposts from equality of opportunity to equality of results. We're going to basically make everyone equal at the finish line,’ which is to say, identity socialism. People would've said, ‘Eh, no, we're not on board for that.’ So instead, they created this whole new terminology to justify it. And it's taken us years to unpack that and realize what's really going on.”
