A Windfall Profits Tax would show Big Oil that their profiteering and price gouging will not go unchecked. They’re raking in HUGE profits while gouging us at the gas pump. I’m working to hold them accountable.

Yesterday, I met with local leaders from @cityofeugene, @spfldoregon, @SpringfieldPS, @LaneCountyGov, @LaneTransit, and @Willamalane to discuss our local, state and federal partnership on issues of importance in the 4th District’s urban & rural communities.

I’m proud to join @rosadelauro and co-sponsor the Paycheck Fairness Act. Almost six decades after the passage of the 1963 Equal Pay Act, women are still making cents compared to every dollar earned by men. In #OR04, there is an 18% pay gap between men & women working full-time.

Testified at the House Education Committee this afternoon about improving early literacy across Oregon. Our work must be student-centered, with consistent, high-quality instruction across the state. To get there, we need to act this session.
