In light of recent twitter functionality downgrades (not to mention all of the previous downgrades) you should know that I'm posting everything on bluesky also; eventually I'll be out of here forever. You should all come to bluesky instead, it is nicer.

@jtbourne that quote you mentioned: "they should pay me to just say no 5 times a year" was @IneffectiveMath so far back in the day, i forgot that he said it and apparently started saying it myself. Then said it to him and he called me on it 🤣

@CJTDevil It looks good, all up. There's probably a fancy theoretical derivation from the distribution of scoring rates + typical width of the team quality distribution that produces it but I didn't bother this time.

Wonk note: Based on the way this is built, it seems that his y-limits are just the symmetrical higher absolute value of the 2nd best or worst team. So, rn, that's Tampa. Colorado is more than twice as far from zero, which means they double up the y-limit crossing Chicago's xaxis

@snotrocketeer @HockeyViz My reach is larger over there with a quarter of the followers as here, you might find your reach is similar. There's a big enough range of opinion for people to be constantly arguing about interesting stuff, that's what I like.
