Nigerian migrant Timothy Kusemi failed his UK driving test TWICE, but was still allowed on the road and killed a 70-year-old grandmother. He exploited a government loophole that lets nationals from countries like Nigeria drive unsupervised for up to a year on a provisional licence, no L-plates and no qualified supervisor required. On 24 November 2023 in East Yorkshire, Kusemi failed to stop at a crossroads in his Audi A6 and smashed into Susan Whittles’ Volkswagen T-Roc. Susan died at the scene. Her husband Bill, 83, suffered multiple serious injuries. Kusemi has now been jailed for six years and banned from driving for 11 years.
