@Conmanay @TonyHaleRapt 100% the plan was get Chronicles 2 out and in those maps have Victis return and collect the Ag Device (buried), shard (die rise or tranzit) then finish off with the Great War map to get Richtofen to survive and break the cycle (reduced to a radio by Pablo in Tag). Such a waste.

@InfoCerberus @TonyHaleRapt 4. A final battle map against Monty and the keepers, kinda like an inverse of revelations but with a similar astetic It’s awfully suspicious how little Tag Der Toten itself is in the outro isn’t it? Not to mention how Nikolai acts like they’ve talked to Monty

Black Ops 6 Zombies is the only Treyarch game where all the maps are entirely original and didn't borrow any level geometry from maps prior to their release. Every map in this game has its own level design tailor made for Zombies.

@Conmanay @TonyHaleRapt He appears in Blood's radios and plays a major role in the map's story so that explains the 4 in Blackout. And he would've definitely appeared in Zombies year 2 DLC together with Monty before Treyarch decided to cut the maps and handover development to another studio to finish up

@TonyHaleRapt He’s one of 2 things that I’m certain were part of bo4 but got cut. Why does he have a 4 logo in blackout? I think tag’s ending is how things were always going to go, but we were going to fight Monty with shadowman’s help

@Stanley5574420 Its like Zielinski all over again. "Lets put all these random things in the map. Wait, explain? Nah the community can make up their own story." Didn't work then, and certainly doesn't work now. Even a throwaway warden quote or cipher that says "hey that gun is mine!" Is too much.

@InfoCerberus That's what I'm not getting. They said they brought back the blundergat because it "felt right" ok that's fine and all but in game the blundergat should help inform the world of Paradox Junction, should be connected to the villain somehow. Instead it's just here for no reason

@Stanley5574420 That's why he's the GOAT. He's the only Director ever from 3arc/IW/Sledge that continued the past when he took over. Critically viewed what worked, and improved what didnt (Victis/Takeo). I prefer some retcons over setting up omnipotent DA beings than never mentioning them again.

@InfoCerberus Blundell was around for a very long time at Treyarch, and he clearly loved the confusing lore and loose plot threads zombies brought to the table. He probably enjoyed the challenge of trying to make it all work

Plus, you can feel how the Warden truly believes he's doing the right thing. Like all good villains do. He has such conviction and is actively doing things to succeed instead of just standing there menacingly lol The fact that we can retroactively attribute events from MWZ and BO6 to him makes him feel like he was there all along, too.

@MmmmDoughnuts21 It must be an intentional design choice. They solved the "Wonderweapon & Max Ammo" problem all the way back in Shino by just having the DG2 (and later WWs) not being able to generate powerup drops. They can easily do the same with ammo crates. They just choose not to.

I imagine Treyarch is struggling to create a blatant "OP" Wonder Weapon like the Thunder Gun or Apothicon Servant again due to the Ammo Crates essentially giving us "unlimited ammo." But like... Can't you just make it so that the Wonder Weapon can't buy ammo? Or make it something ridiculously expensive so it's impractical? Like 10,000,000 Points or something?

@KeyJay115 pretty much. Fractures are an entirely different concept than just the multiverse. It was literally the universe fabricating different realities and worlds as it slowly crumbled and unraveled. A multiverse is usually a good thing in media. the fractures were not.

My personal reading of The Giant's radios is that they are glimpses into the alternative fractures of the multiverse. Given that this is where those fractures begin, when time splinters it begins to reverberate back to Der Riese.

@TheGamingRevo3 @Stanley5574420 That really doesn't work in this case. Der Anfang/MWZ was 90% reused assets from MP/previous Zombies. Its a design choice if any to have either bloated teams that extend production timelines, or too few people working on a map, which is more likely the case.

@TheGamingRevo3 @Stanley5574420 They just can't do it anymore. Mob was made in less than 2 months. Most of BO3 DLC had a 80 day from concept to beta deadline. Time isnt the issue.

@letsgetcanceled Same reason we aren't seeing Director's Cut trailers or Z comics anymore, it's just a choice from Treyarch. SNN Remake, Archon, MWZ, none of these modes were even developed by 3ARC but by Act. Shanghai, most 3arc did was supervise.

Everytime I remind myself that Vanguard and MWZ got new art for their post launch content, I simultaneously wonder why Bo6/Bo7 couldn’t do the same despite having a bigger budget. I mean we still do get artwork, but it’s only for the launch map nowadays.

@JJ32464764 Awful ending. Nikolai should have told the others the truth, then they collectively agree to self sacrifice to end the cycle. Richtofen always kept the truth from the others, Nikolai should have trusted them. Instead we got: Nikolai just had the balls to deceive & kill them all.

My only issue with the Great Voice being a reborn/corrupted Jebediah Brown is that I really want him to be a new villain. Forsaken, Kortifex, and Ava all had unique reasons to be main antagonists and making bo7 legacy heroes fighting another legacy character would be boring
