First week in the new lab! Since last Friday I am working as a Postdoctoral Researcher in the @burbulla_lab at the @LMU_Muenchen @DZNE_de. I will be studying defects in Dopamine metabolism in Parkinson's disease, using iPSC-derived DA neurons.

Tonight's indulgence is a Sainsburys jam doughnut. At 22p each, I can buy 10 of these for the price of 1 KrispyKreme 'donut'. And to be honest, even at that fraction of the price, they are so much more of what I fundamentally want in a doughnut!

@IngaSchmidt93 Have you tried Moto phones? I used to have a nice small one but switched to Samsung for a different reason recently...

I'm starting to shop around for a new phone and it's frustrating to see that no one is catering towards women with small hands, who still would like to have a phone with good specs AND I could use it with one hand. It's 2023, I dont buy that this won't fit into a smaller phone.

@Ardabalci01 I currently have a Samsung galaxy economy phone which is similar. My problem is that in those smaller phones the hardware isn't as good as in the big phones.

I've been on writing twitter now for a while and I'm very glad to have support elsewhere because so much of the advice is not helpful and w/o support I would be so overwhelmed. Please stop telling people about your hack to write 1000 words a day. This is toxic and discouraging

@menysnoweballes I'm surprised that the system that she approached failed her in this regard. From this summary it doesn't feel like they were held accountable at all? It just doesn't feel nuanced.
