Perhaps I started my criminal investigations of Trump a bit too late. But I'm comfortable that my successor Aileen Cannon will keep them going. by Merrick Garland

Bezos saw it coming & did what he needed to do. Who knows what comes next but this now is oligarchy. It’s the cojoining of state power & business interests. It’s 90s Russia. It’s the chaos before the crackdown. It’s Musk & Thiel & every cryptobro chancer in Silicon Valley

I’m sorry I didn’t consider that reality. I’m sorry to think what this all means. I’m worried for this country, especially for those most at risk under a second Trump term.

Facing several somewhat overwhelming questions and realities this morning. First, why the data that gave me optimism that Harris could win was just wrong, or at least my interpretation of it was.

Given that the swings to Trump were in some cases bigger in uncontested blue states, Trump’s win isn’t easily attributable to granular campaign tactics, but rather a national sense that he was the better choice.

Here's the amazing thing too: looking at raw vote totals in counties, it seems like Democrats mostly *got* the turnout they wanted. They didn't just fail to show up. This can't be blamed on anemic turnout. The voters were there, they just didn't want Harris.

I produce all my TV shows on my own dime and offer them to public television stations for free. I support public broadcasting, and you should, too.

@RickSteves What you are really worried about: your PBS taxpayer funded traveling grift being cut.

@TheLeadCNN @jaketapper Jake. I can’t believe you’re both -sidesing this. Only one side has constant violent rhetoric and constant racist comments. Why is Biden misspeaking about trash—which he immediately corrected—highlighted above the people who are ACTUALLY calling people garbage and trash?

@emptywheel Why isn’t it being investigated? Or is it and we just don’t know? In any case, seems a massive failure of our system?

Happy Election Day, Murica. We still have no fucking clue what the business relationship between Donald Trump and the Saudis is. Somehow, the campaign press thought Joe Biden's stutter was far more important.

On CNN, @davidplouffe said that after reviewing latest EV data, ED projections & how undecideds are breaking, “we have a credible pathway to all 7 states" to go for Harris, "but we think they’re all going to be close.” You think you could win all 7? “Yes," Plouffe said.
