In 2020, while Nigerians mourned fellow patriots massacred during the EndSARS, Desmond Elliot called them “children” and advocated for the ban or moderation of social media in Nigeria. He argued that social media caused the crisis in Nigeria at the time and posed a potential danger to the country. He wanted so badly to be in the good books and show proof of unalloyed loyalty to Lagos’ Landlord and his empire.
