@CanesStats I mean, it's a clean hit. I totally understand Svechnikov's reaction to seeing his teammate blown up, though it's definitely a penalty (which he got). No chance Kleven was trying to hurt a guy. Hall's hit was straight to the head, it should have been a game.

Something you don't see every day: • The Flyers iced the puck at the end of a 2-minute shift for nearly ALL 5 skaters • There was a delay because Trevor Zegras went to the bench with skate issues • Flyers tried sending a rested Noah Cates in his place, but the officials weren't having it • Zegras LEFT and went down the tunnel, and had to be replaced by Christian Dvorak anyway... And the Pens were obviously NOT happy 😵‍💫😅

@CanesIncognito I think it’s a combo of sick/injury, and he probably was drawn as a defensive first assignment for his guy against Ottawa. He didn’t generate any offense but his defensive game was stellar as usual. Which makes me believe scheme over injury.

Alexander Nikishin was diagnosed with a concussion during Game 4. He returned with the team to Raleigh to continue the NHL’s protocol for a safe return to play, per Canes PR.

@AGoldFan I also want to be clear. I don’t blame Nikishin either, he gathers the puck off the wall and a weird bounce that forces him to turn his head behind him on the opposite side of his course of motion. He never saw the hit coming just by way of the puck bounces.

Hit was clean. Wasn’t even to the head. Looked shoulder to shoulder. Only issue for me was that I thought it was late. Not a lot, but late. We’re in the playoffs. Things escalate. The Greig sucker punch, now, that’s bullshit.
