The scary part is not that the agent ignored the rules. The scary part is that the infra let it. There were agent rules, project rules, memory, and guardrails. The agent still found a token, guessed what it could do, and deleted production plus the recovery path. This is the shift every devtool needs to face: Tools built for humans assume a human will read warnings and stop before irreversible actions.
