The shape of the legs from ATG squats are different You can look at someone’s legs and know right away if they squat parallel, ATG and you can tell if they don’t squat Even leg press/machine built quads look different Am I right?

Child please. 30lbs weight gain in 3.5 weeks is amateur. My 9th graders average 30 lbs every 2 weeks for 6 weeks straight.

Wonderful things happen when you just follow the program, right @SS_strength ? This kid started 3 1/2 weeks ago. When he started he weighed 118 pounds, on Saturday. He weighed 148 pounds. Here he is deadlifting 185 pounds. we started at 95 pounds. @StrengthDebates

I have a black friend who hates camping. His tongue in cheek argument is that his people spent several hundred years being outside without a say in the matter. I feel the same about ice baths. We've spent millenia trying and failing not to be cold. Now we've finally cracked it, I'm about to actively CHOOSE to be cold? Nah.

Im bias to cold water immersion based on my anecdotes and i live in a culture where its relatively normal but of course realize nothing cures everything. Lets look at this is more detail as Nicks article does not. Nick forgot to conveniently mention that the meta analysis he cited for strength inhibition Grgic et al 2023 even in the abstract states “However, when CWI was applied to the whole body, there was no significant difference between CWI and control for muscular strength.” Should have chosen better pictures to present your argument. For hypertrophy, he cited Pinerio et a 2024. Here again i would read the details but of all these inhibitions i would say hypertrophy phase is not good to combine with highly frequent cold water immersion. Still important to menton the protocols are curently like this: Isolated muscles, 10–20 min, <15 min following training, and 10–15 c). Thats it. What about shorter periods, whole body, longer breaks between bouts etc Malta et al 2021 endurance performance link.springer.com/article/10.100… “does not appear to affect aerobic exercise performance.” Health Tipton et al 2017 (screenshot) physoc.onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/full/10.11… We dont have enough data but there is potential. So lets not maybe draw simplistic conclusions just yet.

@BrandonHerring0 I have run training 90’ sessions for 14-16hrs a day, at time 50+ deep on the floor solo for over a decade now, ACC & FCS lvl as far as at a “school”, does that count at all? The rest of my time has been pro sport & tactical so not students per se.

Alpha Strength Coach Move: Always dominate other coaches by telling them to, “keep it simple.” Even when you do complex shit, say its simple. If other coaches are talking about concepts you don’t understand, don’t get smarter, just tell them to keep it simple.
