The D line is going to be transformative for LA, especially once it’s all open next year.
For the first time we’ll have heavy rail going through the wealthiest parts of town.
A whole new demo of transit riders will be created, building political support for even more expansion

D is transformative af - just got from Beverly Hills to Boyle Heights in ~28 minutes (station to station after a flawless E line transfer at 7th Metro) Maps says would have been a 52 min drive

And this is how you get people to choose transit over driving! Hopefully all metro projects in the future are fully grade separated! Do it right the first time and you save money in the long run!

Awesome to have 2-4 min headways on the shared B and D line sections! Although on the newly opened D line extension it’s 10 min headways. When metro finishes the turn back facility near Union station those headways should shorten hopefully

What the YIMBY folks may not yet understand is that I’m their pathway to actually getting 100K new housing units. Imagine what we can do with 55 blocks on Skid Row, once it’s clean and useable for the first time…

This guy has the most detailed plan to fix homelessness in LA I've ever seen, including returning people from out of state, which cut costs.

I had a chance to speak with Lindsay Horvath tonight at the Sherman Oaks neighborhood council meeting. She mentioned the city and federal governments as key obstacles to solving homelessness. We can’t wait for perfect. It’s time to lead.

@InsideAngelino @JamesPhan44808 Wrong. It's hard for homeless to wander into LAX. This will make it easy. Homeless love airports as there are plentiful bathrooms to use for free and tons of people to beg for money.
