Why InterLink Token Demand Is Not Speculative The structural problem with most crypto tokens Most tokens in the market today are priced on expectation. Buyers purchase based on the belief that the team will deliver, that adoption will follow, that the market will sustain its momentum. When that belief deteriorates, price deteriorates with it. This is not a flaw unique to poorly executed projects. It is the foundational architecture of most tokenomics models in existence: demand is constructed from narrative, not from underlying economic activity. How InterLink Chain addresses this at the protocol level Every business that joins InterLink Chain is required to tokenize its revenue through the RWA Protocol. This is not an optional feature. It is the baseline operating condition of the network. Upon tokenization, the protocol automatically creates an AMM pool pairing the business token with InterLink Token as the universal reserve asset. InterLink Token is locked inside that pool from the moment the business onboards. It does not circulate. It cannot be withdrawn for speculative purposes. It functions as structural liquidity underpinning real commercial activity on the network. Two independent sources of demand The first source is onboarding. Every new business joining the network must lock a minimum amount of InterLink Token into its pool immediately upon entry. In the demand formula, this is represented as: N × L₀ where N is the number of onboarded businesses and L₀ is the minimum InterLink Token reserve required per business. This demand is generated at the moment of onboarding. It does not require a bull market to activate. It does not require token price appreciation to materialize. The second source is transaction volume. Every time a customer transacts with a business through @inter_link, the protocol captures a small percentage of that transaction, between 0.2% and 0.5%, which is substantially below the 2–3% interchange fees charged by Visa and Mastercard. That captured value is automatically routed into the AMM pool, where the protocol executes a market buy of the business token paired against InterLink Token. As volume scales, InterLink Token absorption scales with it, continuously and without manual intervention. This is the V × α × β component of the formula, where V represents total transaction volume, α is the capture rate, and β is the portion directed into InterLink Token pools. The complete demand equation D(InterLink Token) = (N × L₀) + (V × α × β) Two variables. Both anchored to real-world commercial activity. N increases as more businesses join the network. V increases as more transactions are processed on InterLink Chain. Neither variable is a function of market sentiment. Neither variable requires anyone to anticipate a future state that has not yet materialized. Demand exists as a consequence of commerce existing. How this differs from the standard token model Conventional tokens are valued on the expectation of future utility. InterLink Token demand is generated by present utility. Every business that tokenizes today produces locked InterLink Token today. Every transaction that settles today produces absorbed InterLink Token today. Speculative activity may introduce volatility on top of this foundation, but the foundation itself does not require speculation to persist. It requires sustained commercial activity on the network. As the number of onboarded businesses grows, the quantity of locked InterLink Token grows. As transaction volume scales, the quantity of absorbed InterLink Token scales. InterLink Chain: How Validator Consensus Actually Works The Validator Role A validator on InterLink Chain handles three responsibilities simultaneously: proposing blocks, verifying blocks proposed by others, and signing finality votes. Every active validator participates in all three phases of every consensus round. Uptime is not optional. A validator that goes offline reduces the active set size. Sustained downtime degrades network performance before it ever reaches a critical threshold. Uptime is a network security commitment, not just an economic one. Block Proposal and Verification Proposal rights rotate across the active set, weighted by stake. When selected, the proposer assembles a block, executes all transactions, computes the state root, and broadcasts to the validator set within a strict timeout window. Every other validator then independently re-executes every transaction. Invalid state transitions or incorrect ordering get caught here. Validators vote on the result. When 2/3 of the active set approves, the block moves to Lock, then Finalize. Deterministic finality in 3 to 5 seconds. Not probabilistic. Irreversible. Slashing Mechanics Two slashable offenses exist. Equivocation: signing two different blocks for the same round. Triggers immediate large slash and removal from the active set. Liveness failure: sustained downtime below the minimum participation threshold. Treated less severely but still penalized. All slashed amounts are burned. Not redistributed. Not sent to a treasury. Permanently removed from supply. Delegation in Practice Delegated stake adds to the validator’s total weight, affecting proposal frequency and voting influence. Delegators earn rewards proportional to their share of the validator’s stake minus commission. If the validator is slashed, the delegator is slashed proportionally. No shield exists between delegator and validator performance. Unbonding is not instant. Stake in the unbonding queue remains slashable for misbehavior that occurred during the bonded period. The unbonding window is the protocol’s evidence submission window. The Competitive Validator Market Validators compete for delegation through uptime history, commission rate, and slash record. The protocol enforces the rules. The market allocates the capital. No central authority decides which validators win. This is the infrastructure layer.
